    Anybody having problems watching this game on Virgin Tv, a fix
    There seems to be a national problem with Virgin Tv services at present, for those trying to watch the football, go back to start of programme, fast forward to live & the picture is perfect.

    I thought it was odd that Slot took both full backs off on 60 minutes, they fell apart a bit after that. From what i've seen last week and this week though, they should be rushing to get Guehi signed asap.

    Liverpool signed one CB today and will probably get Guehi too, part of the problem they have currently is that no one is pushing VVD or Konate. They’ll hope the two new CB’s do

    Twickenham comes to Villa park.
    Aston villa kicked off and it went straight out by the corner flag; it wasn't a miskick and the last time I saw that as a tactic was by Cambridge under Beck at Upton park against Charlton way back in about 1990/91.

    With Isak throwing his toys out the pram, Howe has gone for 3 wide players up front with Barnes and Elanga as the wide men today and Gordon as the central striker which isn't ideal as Gordon isn't great in the air and has already put a headed chance well over the bar. TBF he has had a shot saved by the keeper.

    Newcastle with just over 60% of the ball after 30 mins but it's goals that count !

    Villa's passing is poor for a Premier team so far at home.

    The irony is because Villa were pushing forward which they hardly did in the 1st half, Newcastle could hit them on the break and having 3 fast wide men with Gordon playing down the middle today he did the villa defenders for pace helped by a good pass.

    I think it's likely to be a bit of both. West Ham are pretty poor and will be down there, but i also think Sunderland have recruited well. At the very least their new midfield duo of Xhaka and Diarra should ensure that they're far more competitive than a lot of recent newly promoted clubs.

    Well that was an enjoyable first trip to N17 this season yesterday.

    Look so much more organised under Frank.
    Not flawless by a long way, yes it was only Burnley but some good football on display.

    Kudus looks like being a very good signing for us, Starting a midfield 3 of Gray, Sarr and Bergvall was telling, Frank already is rotating and able to trust the youngsters.

    And Richarlison has now scored 13 goals in his last 16 starts.  The 2 yesterday was excellent.  Just a shame he's rarely been fit over the last 3 seasons!
