So if in ‘real life’ the alarm actually goes off what are we actually meant to do?
    Serious question
Look at your phone and see what the emergency message is. After that it's up to you whether you want to take action (probably a good idea if it's a warning of flooding or a wildfire) or not (there not being a lot you can do if the Russians have for some reason launched a bomb right at South-East London).
would we notice except for there being less traffic?

Lucky I’m on the ball and with my finger on the pulse.

During the Charlton C.Palace W game
  • I just hope it doesn't effect anyone's Sunday lunch. Especially golfies.

Hopefully they will be careful to start the second half just after it and that it doesn’t alarm too many in the ground. CAST are checking in with the club about it.

There’s no fire, it’s only bell
  • Mrs SA just shat herself 😄
  • Mine went off at 3.04 and next door's at 3.09.
I'm huddled under the garden table waiting for the all clear....

I was at the airport awaiting a lift when it went off. Was oblivious and thought people had got stuck in the lift. What a racket but good to be aware I suppose.

My alarm went off at 3.09.
So if a bomb dropped at 3pm I would be blissfully unaware
  • Mine must have gone off just after 3pm. Clearly my safety is considered more important than everyone else here  ;)

Can take 15 minutes to get around the networks, it’s never been designed for when the bomb goes off, it might be sent if say, intelligence says a threat is likely and prepare

  • As we are all Charlton fans it was unlikely to go off at precisely 3pm as we are conditioned to that delay ! 😉😆

Mine went off twice, was on my way to the bunker before reading the second message.
  • Mrs SA just shat herself 😄
How did she react to the Emergency Alert then?
  • The three phones in my house all went off between 3 and 3.30. Hearing stories of phones going off now. Guarantee that if you go to bed and it ain’t gone off, it’s going off in the middle of the night 😂

  • I didn't hear mine because the players were coming out for the second half and the tannoy was playing Into The Valley. 3.01, apparently.
