I'm surprised at some of our ratings this week. I thought we were generally quite poor, but better than them.

A few misplaced passes and lapses of concentration still. A more composed opponent would have capitalised. Sheffield were poor, but we limited their attacks and worked hard in defence. Clean sheets at this level are not gifted.Proper away performance, but we have to be more clinical in front of goal. Leaburn had a positive impact but should have scored. Docherty's header should have been on target as well. Danny Hylton has to work hard with the attacking players so we take these chances.I don't mind late winners away from home, I think the first half of the season will be like this as they adjust to the level. Can't fault the work rate and honesty of all the players, worked their arses off in tricky wet conditions. By the end of the game the side of the pitch by the dugouts was getting heavy with water.Walking back up the hill to the car with all the Sheffield fans was interesting, all very subdued they didn't seem angry just resigned to the result the same feeling I got in the stadium from them all. Wilder has a bit of a job on his hands.3

Good bit about us at end of Sam Parkin's comments of Sheff Utd for BBC.
"They are a team who don't know what they are right now, whereas Charlton and Nathan Jones absolutely do know what they're about."

Regardless of the result, it's just nice to see solid players all over the pitch, rather than just the one or two.
Reckon this squad is capable of springing a few surprises 🤞14 -
I love this title of 'Game changer' so often referred to by Nathan.
Tanto spoke about it in his interview, 'the game changers to come on after 60 minutes'. I can just imagine players demanding to know why they're not starting, only to be told, 'Because you're the game changer'! What kudos that title holds ... especially when you go out and actually do it!26 -
At the match got soaked but who cares. Worried like most about the wilder factor but we played a good game in seeing this out.
Still not creating enough chances and feel Campbell needs a rest Better timing of the subs this week and thought leaburn and tanto gave them something else to think about.
Total stranger next to me gave me massive hugs when we scored but hey ho that's what it meant.
Still amazes me why there are so many people drinking on the concourse during the match.... WHY.6 -
I may be misreading things, it is a gut feeling, and I think Jones doesn't want to make a song or dance of it but he thinks we can make the play offs.9

Issue is so can 18-20 other teams.
Crazy division. Hence why 20th would do me just fine and build from there.11 -

We are very good defensively and recover into shape well. At one point yesterday Carey was filling in on the left hand side when Sheffield were on a break. They really are playing selfishly for each other, and a delight to watch yesterday. If we are in a similar position after 10 games I think we will surprise quite a few in the league this season.7

Nice post anyway and I agree...2 -

Gabriel Martinelli & Leandro Trossard inspire Arsenal to 2-0 win at Athletic Club - BBC Sport2 -
Been waiting to beat them up there, ever since that cup tie many years ago when our coach broke down and we got there 10 minutes from the end 3-0 down, then we got jumped by their supporters as they where leaving the ground and we where just arriving.15

Excellent result....for quite a lot of reasons and a huge relief.
That's all I can say.

There's no outstanding side in the division this year, it's totally wide open and a lot of teams will fancy their chances of getting top 6. If Bristol City win today they will be second and unbeaten, and we looked pretty comfortable when we went there.

Just running at teams with TC feeding off scraps must be soul destroying for the lad. In six league games his average playing time is only an hour!
I really hope that Charlie gets some support perhaps from Knibbs if Carey gets pulled otherwise I'm dumbstruck as to why Nathan ever bought him.14 -

Still buzzing this morning.
A proper football ground, big crowd, good pubs, torrential rain, tremendous away support, late winner, hugging strangers, no hassle, Greggs morning bacon roll had about 6 rashers of bacon, trains on time.Absolutely perfect away day.69 -

So long as he sticks to his system we aren’t going to suddenly start scoring loads of goals whether we are playing Kelman or Harry Kane up front. If Ramsey hadn’t got himself sent off this would have been our 3rd 1-0
I think the gloom about this is a bit overdone
i think we will win quite a few with this score and that will be enough for a mid table finish9 -
Our start to this season looked challenging, 3 London teams (one we always lose against), 2 teams that finished in the top 6 last season and one relegated Premier League team. To be sitting midtable and to be moaning about lost points, this start has been very good especially as I think we will become more clinical.30

If we stay up I would expect the scouting net to widen.4 -

I ended up not making it, first league/ play off game I’ve missed since Orient on 1st March a 21 game run which felt noteworthy after many years of much less consistent attendance inspired by our dire run
was away in poncy country hotel with missus and friends and was hoping to whiz up on Saturday morning but hangover + she wasn’t gonna have it meant they all got to sit in some posh lounge bar whilst I streamed it. Went embarrassingly mental when the winner went in. Was very jealous of the rainy away end looked class
agreed with poster who said tantos finish was poor, when he struck it I was already for a split second getting ready to erupt in a different way with yet more frustration as it looked like it was gonna bounce back off the keeper, should’ve been putting that well into the corner / top corner miles from the keeper but don’t give a shit, well in mate and I like Tanto and would like to see a bit more of him
TC frustrated the hell out of me, he is so effective in driving us up the pitch and wins free kicks etc and so important in many ways but Jesus his end product, so frustrating his shooting, crossing and passing, and he’s so slow to make a pass or cross - doesn’t seem like the right partner for Kelman who wants an early ball. Wouldn’t mind seeing Apter there with Bree who seems very good in the RWB role
we should have scored sooner, continuing worry is the lack of quality in final third, fluctuating between thinking that is gonna have us scrapping for our lives Vs we’re just a whisker/ bit of finessing away from being a play off contender
leaburn made a big difference, seems to be following in his fathers footsteps of polarising support but I love him, brilliant first header for the goal and although he might have scored that one that broke to him he at least struck it well unlike the pansy shots from TC and Kelman earlier on
Bell has been one of my favourite players of the season. Ramsays left footed twin brother, and without the cringe instagram videos17 -
3 points away from a game I did not expect anything from. A brilliant performance from everyone on the pitch to a man. NJ is a manager that when he has buy in he gets a team playing greater than the sum of its parts. For me this season is all about surviving and building but it honestly wouldn’t surprise me that much if we achieved a lot more than that this season3
