Goal clip - wish it showed more of Bree’s turn inside

Love the way Tanto let's out a big scream when everyone smothered him..passion from all the playing and non playing staff!

Hopefully he can kick on and we can string some results together!

The only slight downside to all this is that it cheers up their city neighbours. Oh well as long as we beat them when they come to us next month.
Oh god, I hope so. It will be my sons’ first home match since pre-Covid!!! We’ll be at that match and away to Ipswich.
My second boy screamed when we scored on final score today. He loves Charlton even if he rarely gets to see them. He captained his team to an 8-2 win today. Great football day for him.

I couldn’t have been more wrong about our chances today. Wow! Maybe I should predict us to lose heavily every week, lol.

    Up The Addicks!

Love that. Great goal noise from our fans.
  • Who remembers s few years ago when we had to score 2 or 3 goals to get a point
1 goal for the win every time!
Loving being in the championship, ain't pretty but we are competing!
Seeing the passion from the players and Nathan when we win can not help but make you smile!
Extra points for The Doch tonight, Captain fantastic!
  • That goal was a real team effort and that is what we have a real TEAM.
You get the sense that they will run through brick walls for each other in good times or bad, no real stars but 100% given.
No one shows this more than our captain and he is starting to show the qualities that he does have.
Don't think any one striker will get in double figures but don't see that as a major problem either.
All credit to NJ for the way he goes about things even if he is an absolute nutjob sometimes

That was a really solid performance. Reminiscent of many games last year. The 1st really solid game this season although, apart from QPR (and the debacle at Cambridge) they’ve all been pretty good. I thought Bree and Burke made a big difference. You could see their influence last week when they came on against Millwall and it carried on today. I also thought Bell had a very good game today. This is all looking very promising. We are slowly climbing the table and, really, we should have at last 4 more points than we do now. And Godden is due back soon.

Two points from the playoff spots.
Six points from the relegation zone.
What an important win that was. Morale booster. Loved how three subs played a part in the goal, and very happy for Tanto. Bree’s assist was class as well. He oozes class [sorry].
Just before the goal I told my wife that this is where they get the winner, and I meant the Blades.
    4 points off relegation zone.

I am still soaked, terrible weather up North, and I heard Blackburn got called off it was so bad. So quite lucky Sheffield went ahead, you can never tell.
Great away day with a late winner at the end. Best for quite a while after the hard slog of league one.
  • Enjoyed that.  The more negative an opposition manager talks about his team the more positive I am.  Wilder summed it up by saying you need to have the nuts to go and do it on a Saturday - they didn't, we did!
  • Strangley subdued home support after an initial few songs.

Sorry to bring up a negative but I’m getting royally fucked off with the anti Miles Leaburn brigade. Is everything really so rosy atm that fucktards have to make up shit.
Are they expecting a 6’5” big lad to sprint about like a whippet. All this ‘lazy’ bollox is grinding my gears!!
Bottom line….. we have a lot more ball in the final third with ML in the side
Totally agree. How any one could say that based on today is mental. He won headers chased the defenders and won tackles.

I had to stand in a 30 min queue to pickup my ticket. Bit of a shambles on Sheffield United behalf, apparently most of their season tickets were not scanning and it caused merry chaos, the locals were not happy and alot got in late. Nice to know even an ex (recent)  premiership team can be a bit of a mess too.
  • Never heard of him, he'll be sacked in the morning ...again...😂😂😂

Great result. I enjoyed it. Thought we got it right today in terms of personnel and tactics. What a lift it gives you. Can't wait to getting back to the valley next week. UTA.

Great pic of the goal celebrations

Took them a good 5 mins to fix the collapsed advertising screens 🤣

I like Olaofe and of course was delighted with the winner, but he's lucky that went in because it was actually a poor finish considering half the goal was gaping and he hit it straight at the keeper.
Fortunately the keeper dived out of the way

Is that Leaburn winning a big header off a Kaminski kick for the goal? Is that Kaminski keeping a clean sheet and Leaburn smiling when we scored? Who the hell are people going to moan about all week then?
TC when he’s not dropped for Tanto next Saturday of course.

Highlights on ITV4 now, first game.

The line up graphic put Burke on the right wing and Bree right back.

It's clear to me and a few other lifers that Kelman has the ability but the service to him is absolutely dire.

Just running at teams with TC feeding off scraps must be soul destroying for the lad. In six league games his average playing time is only an hour!

I really hope that Charlie gets some support perhaps from Knibbs if Carey gets pulled otherwise I'm dumbstruck as to why Nathan ever bought him.

Perhaps Kelman wasn't especially bought for right now - more for a future time, as tactics and style evolves?
