NTT20 has already spoken of how they're more confident of Chambers ability going forward, than his defensive aspect as a Wing-Back... Even Luke said in his intro video that he wants to add goals / assists whilst he's here, whilst we've already seen Clarke's ability to whip an early cross into the boxSo in an ideal world we're back to relying on our Wing-Backs to being the creative aspect, only we've got two natural options on either flank now, so are safer in the knowledge knowing we can attack down either side, with the other staying back, allowing us to revert to the back four in attack again.1

I'm actually quite optimistic with that line up.
The big unknown is what we've been up to in training all week, and will we 'turn up', and remain focused.
But, yeah, I'm hopeful a corner will be turned this afternoon.

Docherty straight back in after being bombed for 3 weeks. Our managers a weirdo.18

At least Macca ain't starting, that prevented another thing to moan about...🤦♂️3

NJ got everyone guessing with that lineup. Exactly like Leicester will currently be guessing. Hope it takes them a while to adapt and gives us a chance to grab an early goal2

No way Coady is in midfield he is in the back three1

Happy to be proven wrong but I don’t think so. Clarke will be the RWB and Coady will sit at the base with Doc and Carey ahead of themBailey said:Sorry, but Coady will be in the back three with Jones and Bell, the two wing backs are Ramsay and Chambers, midfield three will be Docherty, Clarke and Carey, front two Leaburn and Dykes.1 -
It’s a wild suggestion, but could he have had a knock or some personal things outside of football going on.ValleyGary said:Docherty straight back in after being bombed for 3 weeks. Our managers a weirdo.

We're going to end up with a starting 11 with 10 defenders by the end of the season.3

Bangs one in from 30 yards, runs up to Jones, double middle fingers and Stone Cold Stunners him.ValleyGary said:Docherty straight back in after being bombed for 3 weeks. Our managers a weirdo.8 -

From my Everton supporting friend:
”If Coady has energy around him, he’s more than capable of sitting at the base of midfield and getting the ball moving. Technically very good but needs legs around him for cover”

I’m desperate to be proven wrong, but this has the potential to be some of the most downright disgusting NJ hateball possible. There’s parking the bus, and then there’s parking 6 of them in convoy. If a lineup ever screamed a desperation for a clean sheet, it’s this one.
Leicester are without a permanent manager, in poor form and could yet be dragged into the relegation picture with their potential points deduction. If you go at them and score, you turn the crowd against them immediately and you put all the pressure on them. I dunno, this selection just feels so backward and if they score, we are asking for trouble and everything gets thrown out of the window.
Please prove me wrong NJ.11 -
You could be right, it’s not like Jones has a track record….FishCostaFortune said:

It is a dreadful looking team and the kind of confused selection that usually results in managerial exits. 6-0 LeicesterLaddick01 said:If Conor Coady is playing in midfield I’m truly over it.The good news for TC is that he doesn’t need to play LWB. The bad news is he’s now a benchwarmer.
In terms of attacking threat this team is right up there with those Andrew Crofts/Foley midfields that we put out.Disgusting.1 -

Well he’s at least trying something different
Don’t know what the fuck it is but this should be interesting8 -
Who will be the first player pulling up or being sub. Coady, Bell or Chambers?ForeverAddickted said:What is Docherty doing out there?Lovely to see Bell back, does look a bit of a defensive team...Guess we'll aim to get into HT drawing at the very least and go for it more second halfWin the Home Games / Draw the Away Games2 -
Jesus some of you lot are criticising before the team sheet came out! I quite like that line up! We ain’t going to play our way out of this mess, we are going to need to scrap! On a separate note, has anyone looked at Oxford and Pompeys February fixtures? If you haven’t then I suggest you do!

Anderson again? - He was linked with Wycombe earlier on in the windowScoham said:Maybe Doc isn’t on the way out, so if not him, who? Likely we’ll need to let some go to make space for more signings.4 -

No, he definitely 100% fell out with the manager. I know that for a fact. Sorry just the way it is. Don’t ask any follow up questions or how I know, just understand that I know that they fucking hate each other and actually had it out at sparrows lane. Weird he’s been picked todayFishCostaFortune said:

TC is massively inconsistent with his end product, but he is (alongside Carey) one of the only players at the club that can get us forward.TheHerminator said:People have been saying for months now that TC is much better off the bench and should always be used as an impact sub.
Now that’s actually happening people are up in arms that he’s not starting. This site is fucking exhausting
If they mark Carey out the game this lineup has almost 0 threat outside of a hoof to Miles/Dykes.1 -
Ramsay will be wing back, Clarke will be in the midfield, as he can play there.ns9 said:

Astutefenaddick said:Wonder if the idea with Coady is that he can drop back into defence and let Bell/Ramsay offer support up the pitch to the wing backs. Whatever the plan is it’s a gamble1 -

Anyone know where I can get some of that white insulation tape from?0

2 players in midfield that have barely played all season (neither of whom are midfielders) isn’t my idea of “trying something new “TheHerminator said:Charlton fans: Try something new Jones, it’s not working

Christ, that lineup makes me happy that the early ko means I can’t even watch it on tv3
