We are 100% in for Fields, but atm looks off else where. Also after a lad from Liverpool. Wonder if Chambers, Coady and Lloyd can sell him on wearing our famous red instead of theirs.....
Good to hear. Must be one or the other though? Can’t see us signing two CMs.

We need two imo but I get your doubt at getting two

Gutting that we signed Conor Gallagher the last time we were in the championship, it really hindered the development of James Vennings and Ben Dempsey
Totally comparable to Fullah who actually features for the first team.

If he comes, I want him to keep the same lettering on his shirt.  We haven't had a letter from another alphabet since Guðmunsson's 'eth'.
You want him to spell his name in Serbo-Croat even though he's Kenyan?
Why not?  Kenya use the same alphabet as us.

Cawley doesn’t deny our interest in Field but says it’s unlikely.

If Coady has been brought in as a midfielder then that would still leave us a bit short I reckon so I think we need two as well. Presuming Doc stays and Karoy goes that leaves us with

    JRC
    Coventry
    Coady
    Doc
    Berry
    Carey

Probably discount Berry playing any significant minutes. All it takes is one injury to really leave us a bit light

But Ben Dempsey and James Vennings did play for us in the Championship, it may have been after Gallagher left but they were still the next options

Vennings and Dempsey both made 4 appearances each for the first team, Fullah has made 9. Not that wildly different when it comes to numbers (appreciate it probably is in terms of potential).

It’s a stupid comment. Fullah is clearly a talent. Those two weren’t. And they played for very different reasons.

I guess that means some of you would turn down 18 year old Lamine Yamal because it would hinder Fullah's development? Christ.
Holy shit, we’re in for Yamal. Make it happen.

    • Citizenship: England England
    • Height: 1,80 m
    • Position: Central Midfield
Nyoni has been described as a No. 8 with good balance, capable of playing with both feet and having the ability to beat his marker on either side.[26] At an early age, he has drawn comparisons to a young Paul Pogba due to his 'similar confidence and composure', 'tall, slender' build, and 'skillful, intelligent' ability. He's quick on both feet with great composure on the ball and has shown his confidence in the FA Cup. [27]

Sounds exactly what we need, so fingers crossed. Must have something about him to have got aps for liverpool first team
I'm capable of playing with both feet. It's just standing up and moving about that's a bit tricky....

Think it's more likely to be Hardie to Bolton in terms of outs with their strikers , although I do rate Smith.

Strange we have announced Collins yet, wonder if there is an issue.. but as we have all seen, lots of overseas news outlets reporting it’s confirmed..

Much prefer Sam Smith to Hardie imo. Hardie is a league 1 striker

I doubt we want another striker, we already have a half decent one on the bench that can't even get on in games in Kelman, unless Leaburn's shoulder wasn't precautionary and he's out for a while

Maybe there was more in that 'He will be number 4' rumour and we are waiting for Mitchell to head off
  • Can’t see them letting Smith go, he’s in good form.

Easy for a press outlet to say "done deal".

If it doesn't happen they can ignore the fact or talk about last minute complications.

A football club can't, and shouldn't, announce anything until it is 100% done.

Imagine the stick they'd get if it didn't then happen.

In any case 4pm is our preferred annoucement time. WIOTOS

Just seen Russian striker Ivor Nastychestykough speaking to Ronnies Brother in law at the training ground, make of that what you will.
