    BBC headline started a song!

    Charlton sign Kenya defender Sichenje

  • Never heard of him, but I love him already.

    He's a cutie.

I just asked AI to come up with a chant for our new superstar signing and this is what it suggested. 😂

    Ohhh Collins Sichenje,
    He’s Charlton’s number one!
He’ll win the ball, he’ll boss the pitch,
    The Addicks’ Kenyan son!

    Ohhh Collins Sichenje,
    He’s strong and he’s supreme!
From Nairobi down to The Valley,
    He’s living out the dream!

The interview I saw said he was a gentle giant.

Literally no idea what to expect but I’m all for it

The interview i saw he seemed quite laid back but the interview i read suggested he liked a heavy tackle and the stats suggest not allnof them are perfectly timed

Can't wait for our Tel on Charlton TV to wrap his dentures round his surname.

NJ is a bona-fide nutter on the sidelines but it's been a while since we've had a proper maverick on the pitch, where neither team, fan nor manager know if we're in the presence of genius or lunacy.

I'm hoping Sichenje is that man.

Lucky for us, Trevor Kettle has retired.

Red card, followed by two-match ban?

Looks like he can handle a cold Tuesday in Serbia, Sweden and Finland but can he handle a cold rainy Tuesday in Stoke. The real test!

Good to see we are scouting/looking outside of England. Hope to see more of that in the summer, and if we stay up, I am certain we will.
  • It must be a nightmare assessing a player from a minor European league.

The Serbian super League currently sits at 24th with a coefficient of 25.250 (England's is 111.797).

Our recruitment people must take calculators pencils and notepads along with them as they work out formulae converting the relationships of coefficients from one league to the next.  Whoever scouted Polish Pete got their sums wrong - let's hope they get an A star for this one.

Think he was a bit unlucky to see red on that first one.

It is undoubtedly an exciting signing and hopefully a sign of things to come. I hope that he doesn't underestimate how fast the rest of the league is when he trains with Coady and Gillesphey this week.
