    Wash your mouth out!

I know we don't want the Spanners to go up, especially not via the automatic places, but there are limits on what to cheer for ... and supporting that mob from the wrong side of the Waveney is one of those things.

Coventry still 0-0 against Wednesday. Next Saturday won't be easy.

Wednesday are defensively really gusty,  but tend to run out of legs in the closing stages, so we might need to be patient.

Giving a little bit of false there i detect @killerandflash. They haven't won at home all season isn't that right? We have sold 1700 already according to afka on the other thread. And we could win, might even appear to be playing well at times, but would we really be bothered in front of so many travelling fans towards the end of a season like this?

Playing a team that hasn’t won at home all season doesn’t do much to raise my hopes lol this is exactly the type of game we normally lose

Wouldn’t mind us having a look at Tayo Adaramola (at Wednesday on loan) in the summer. Palace have had him out on loan for four years now  - must fancy a move somewhere.

Getting a bit fiesty this Norwich Ipswich game, nearly in double figures for yellows now (and while I've been typing this there's been another one for a daft handball). Nunez playing the panto villain and risking a sending off if he carries on like that.

    Eh?
Who gives a shit about Norwich or Ipswich?
    Only two things matter here:
    1) Does their match affect us? If so what’s the best case scenario for us?
    2) Does their match affect Millwall? If so, what’s the worst case scenario for Millwall?

    In this case:
    1) No, Irrelevant.
    2) Yes, Ipswich win.

That’s it. If you’ve got a boner for Norwich, that’s your problem. 🤪

Now I see why McKenna didnt want to start Nunez, how is he still on the pitch?

How many decisions have gone Ipswich’s way. Unbelievable ref performance.

Referee has bottled it to keep it an 11 vs 11 contest.
Says it all that McKenna has to do that, because he knows that he was walking the tight rope

Surely 2nd spot practically taken now, it's the playoffs for Millwall.

Big win for them.  Their only tricky game left is Soton away (imo).

This, plus their games in hand has probably secured second

Yep, we'll give them 3 points too, so almost there for Ipswich imo

Absolutely bugger all ... but it means an awful lot round our way and throughout the majority of the county.

Although despite that, my wife's cousin started his professional career at Norwich (he's an Upper Sheringham boy) and finished the wrong side of the border with a number of years at Barnsley inbetween.

If you lived in Norfolk like I do you'd understand why you never ever cheer on the cheating Tractor Boys when they are playing Norwich. My Norwich supporting husband is just coming out of therapy from having bought a house close to the border but with a Suffolk postcode and couldn't really settle until we moved to a NR postcode again!!!
But the next game when they play Portsmouth it will definitely be ok to cheer them!

I think we have to forget about Leicester. They clearly have some really decent players & you cant think they they wont get another 15-18 points before the end of the season.

Oxford look like they wont get out if it so I feel there will be 1 place between 4 teams......

    Blackburn
    Pompey
    WBA

    And us.

Probably shouldn't be jinxing it but all 3

Some big games on Tuesday impacting us.

Hate to be relying on others, but it’s kind of been how our season has played out over the last month or so.

We need Ipswich to beat Pompey, and I hadn’t realised Soton had rearranged their game against Blackburn to this Tues due to their FA Cup semi with Man City.

I expect Blackburn to have enough to stay up, but keeping them below us and having them played an extra game is also useful.  You just don’t know what it does psychologically as they will also be looking over their backs.

It’s going to be tight for us.  A win next week will put it to bed, but I’m not counting on it.  I don’t want to disrespect Wednesday and say I expect a win, but we absolutely cannot lose

I’ve looked at all the other fixtures.  WBA’s are okay.  Pompey have a great game next week if they lose on Tuesday.  Leicester look finished and it really will be their last throw of the dice next week at Pompey.
