  • Yes all we want is survival no matter how we get it, but Jesus we are so painful to watch, I understand protecting a lead or a point but in the later stage of this season if ever there was a game to actually set up and go for a win this was it, hopefully we achieve safety but u can’t wait for this season to finish.

Weak from Mannion and a right clanger so deserves being called out for it, but embarrassing performance all round.

Kaminski at Stoke, Portsmouth away and home.
Mannion today and at home to Bristol City

    Actual gifting of points.

Really poor today Will. You obviously don't need a cap in the sun, so catch the bloomin' ball or punch it to safety.
Individuals make mistakes. It happens it’s inevitable and it’s how an awful lot of goals are scored up and down the leagues every weekend. It’s a problem when someone makes too many mistakes but no one makes zero.

The problem for us isn’t so much that any one player is a bag of calmities waiting to happen, it’s that every mistake that leads to a goal stands out like a sore thumb with an amber beacon on the end because we have scored 2 or more goals in a game just four time this season, and only once in 2026, way back on January 31st.

That means almost all errors that have lead to goals against have also lead to dropped points. The defence has more than done its bit to keep us up this season, but you simply cannot expect it to keep a clean sheet every week in order to win matches.

We’ve been well below the required level against Portsmouth, West Brom, Blackburn, Oxford and Sheffield Wednesday. It feels like we’re fortunate to still be in this position. A red card and missed penalty helped us win against Leicester.

It’s difficult to shake the feeling that these slip‑ups won't come with consequences. Hope not but for an invested fan, it's hard work!

Where did I say you couldnt have an opinion
If you dont like your opinion being challenged when you say it out loud, keep it to yourself

Our players seemed not to have any Energy were slow and were outpassed by Wednesday.
Glad of a point but if we do stay up then need to buy at least 2 strikers and change the midfield.
Earlier poster said this that replacing Godden and Dykes with Leaburn and Campbell whilst Kelman and Fevrier not involved was a mistake.
Leaburn and Campbell were just not up for it or good enough to make a difference today. Loan them to League One sides in the Summer .... if anyone will take them.

So disappointed. Two Addicks went to the westend and we got one measly update from them on the match thread. Miserableoldgit got through 60 cigarettes.
I smashed by way through the drinks cabinet and all that effort for one poxy point.
Apart from that the football was utter tripe, can this season please just end?

One of the must of pathetic Charlton performances I've ever seen. We were safe before the game though so doesn't really matter

Better result than i expected but sounds like we were shit again. Our midfield is fucking atrocious.

We missed Ramsay as with him playing and getting the ball forwards Coventry can play as well.

    £200 plus on trains
£60 uber from Donny to get there after the train shenanigans
    £60 tickets

And they put on that shit show, blimey we are painful to watch

For the first time ever I’ve lost a little bit of faith in NJ and just want this season over

Hopefully the results on Tuesday go our way so we can relax a bit but this midfield needs a proper refresh all 5 of them

What a truely dismal performance that was, but speaking honestly, it was just what we all expected wasn't it, we looked afraid of our own shadow, and shit scared of loosing to the extent we had no confidence that we could actually win.
So Wednesday looms large when Ipswich roll into town, now, will we actually turn up ourselves, maybe, but they will be after blood after we left Portman Rd with all three points, and three goals to the good, so will be tricky, but we could actually win that one, and get ourselves out of jail.
I tell you what, we are sitting 6 points + 2 better goal difference ahead of Oxford, which is ok, but would be nice to go into the last couple of games being able to breath during a game...😟

At least we didn’t lose which given the unfounded confidence some had for an easy victory would often have been typical of Charlton. 4 points needed from 3 games as things stand. A win today would/ should have pretty much guaranteed safety.

Watford are bottom of the 5 game form table, then us, then SW.

All those draws tell a story!

If Oxford beat Wrexham on Tuesday night you wouldn't bet against them to beat Sheff Wed next sat. If that is the case we need to get something from our next 2 homes games.

Really don't want to go to Swansea (who have the league's top goalscorer) and try to get something there.
Even if Oxford lose to Wrexham, odds are they'll beat Wednesday, so its going to the final day if we don’t pick up anything in those 2 games
And Oxford play Millwall on the final day.

Wont need Thomas Frank & his whiteboard for Millwall you lose in the final minute like Brentford in 19/20.

The worrying thing is that we’ve lost our mojo whereas the others around us seem to have found theirs.

I said I’d be delighted with 21st at the start of the season and stand by that.

Yeah, feel really sorry for you, but this is the way Thatcher set up transport. Greed fest. It's not NJs fault.... Or is it? Depending on other teams results. Great management.

@LenGlover....4 points!? Can't we just watch the other clubs do our work for us and stroll around?!

Do you think we're able to achieve that now?

One thing is crystal clear, we are so bereft of ideas up top apart from Godden, just give the guy his 2 year + option contract to sign before he leaves for home tonight...

Shite absolute shite. This team have been awful the past few games when we needed them to step up. Looking out of ideas and not up for the fight.

Poor end to the season which I think will see us down.
