AFC Bournemouth is delighted to confirm the appointment of Marco Rose as the club’s new head coach on a three-year contract, which will begin following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

If they'd hung on for a couple of weeks they could have had Eddie Howe back.

Fair play to Bournemouth. They've obviously known for a while that Iraola wasn't going to renew and have moved quickly to get his replacement.

On Talksport last night old big nose, Pardew, said he’d heard Iraola was going to Palace. What a crock of shit. That smells of Palace putting that out so fans think they are aiming high and hopefully they will end up with Micky Apples. Absolutely zero chance Iraola goes there.

I share your dislike of Palace and hope you are right Iraola wouldn't even consider going there.

But whether we like it or not, in the last 12 months they have won the FA Cup and the Community Shield. I can't see anyone stopping them winning the Conference League this year. If they do win it, they get entry into into the Europa League next year. Looking at that, it's not an  unattractive option to someone who doesn't share our dislike of Palace.

It's also possible Iraola wants to take a slightly bigger step up (I know, I know) before going for one of the really big jobs. Going for a really big job, and failing, can set your career back years. Just ask Graham Potter.

If he stays in the Premier league then i think Chelsea would want him because it's pretty clear the Rosenior thing isn't working. However he might want to swerve that role given how they just chew up managers and spit them out.

I also can't see Newcastle keeping Eddie Howe, so Newcastle would surely be a job that tempts him.

If he has any sense he'll avoid a really big English job and go for a big team abroad as a bit of a bridge. Someone like Dortmund that has resources but a bit less pressure and acceptance that you won't win loads of titles.

Sounds like Kieran McKenna is the early favourite to replace him , guess that hinges on Ipswich getting promoted ultimately.
I've been slightly underwhelmed by McKenna over the last year or so.

After a bright start in the PL, Ipswich finished on 22 points, down where Burnley and Wolves are now, and with such a stable club and a massive budget, they've been slightly disappointing this season. I would have expected them to be dominating the division, like Leeds and Burnley 2 season ago.

McKenna doesn't show much emotion on the sidelines where Nathan shows too much !
If Ipswich finish 2nd that hardly failure and after winning at the Valley tomorrow night they will be back to 2nd with about a 20+ GD on Millwall with a game in hand.

Coventry are the overachievers with becoming champions and without the parachute money is a magnificent achievement for Frank Lampard who was compared to Rooney and Gerard as a manager despite having done well at Derby and was doing ok at Chelsea with a young side in transition.

It will be hard for Coventry, Ipswich, Millwall, Middlesbrough, Southampton or Wrexham not to Yo-yo whichever 3 get promoted.

Will Liam Rosenior still be in charge by this weekend?

For me he's been on a par with how bad Tudor was for Spurs. Looks out of his depth, players not interested in playing for him, fans hate him. Disastrous appointment.

Probably wishes he'd stayed under the radar at Strasbourg.

That's such a shame as he only had 6 years and 2 months left on his contract

Apparently Cucurella's barber gave out the team news before the game last night. Lol

I think they only actually get a years payout max but he was a bit of a network manager at Strasbourg too wasn’t he.

The shocking thing about that is that Cucurella has a barber

Who's realistically going to take it? Glasner and Iraola will have better opportunities

I can't see him being tempted back, when the job expectancy there is so poor. Especially when he's creating something at Coventry.

You have the World Cup managers to think about too. Nagelsman feels the only viable option there though. And I guess Xavi is available as is Xabi Alonso

Liam Rosenior started with that 5-1 win at the Valley  and ended with the non display at Brighton with a 3-0 loss.

I hope Frank Lampard stays at Coventry.

Nagelsmann has apparently said he isn't interested.

The issue Chelsea will have in attracting an elite level manager is how the club is run. A manager of that standing is going to want some form of control over signings and how things are run.

But when you've got Maresca leaving the club because he was frustrated with the club's structure, lack of input on signings and alleged interference from directors on team selection then it's not exactly enticing.

Does anyone think Klopp, Pep or Luis Enrique would put up with no say on transfers and the board telling them who to pick? No chance.
