I think it’s disappointing tbh. Can’t see us selling more than another 1,000 from now.
Applaud the transparency though 👍1 -

Phase 2 now so the prices have gone up
Upper Covered End
Adult £490 in Phase 1 for renewals to £570 in Phase 2 if bought as of now
Phase 1 for new season ticket holders was £5500 -
I agree. Also a big price increase now, with commensurate increase in walk up prices, means lower attendance next season.AFKABartram said:I think it’s disappointing tbh. Can’t see us selling more than another 1,000 from now.

Hope I'm wrong, but can only see the performances improving marginally from an extremely low base. Still in Jones we trust. COYA!1 -
Tend to agree, mate. I'm high as a kite about Charlton right now, especially after Saturday.AFKABartram said:I think it’s disappointing tbh. Can’t see us selling more than another 1,000 from now.

On the plus side, some of our lowest figures above turned out to be promotion seasons so perhaps we are on the verge of something special.

Think the huge variation in kick off times will have had an effect. I'm sure there are people who were expecting more 3pm KO's and so haven't been able to make others. Coupled with the midweek games being on Sky, your ST has less value4
-
Roughly 3 Thousand season ticket holders at this stage to renew then
Appears to be still be a renewal price for those individuals but however the price has risen since the end of Phase 1
Most expensive season ticket in the ground is 4 blocks in the West Stand with an adult price costing £715 (New Season ticket holders)
Block D in the West Stand is marked off as the new corporate section
Will await what the matchday prices cost but can well guess they will have increased as well0 -
Yeah I imagine there was a lot of sales off the back of the excitement of promotion last year. But then the reality is lots of games are moved and life gets in the way so you miss a few and figure it's not cost effective to renew.fenaddick said:Think the huge variation in kick off times will have had an effect. I've renewed but I'm pretty sure I lost money versus match by match tickets for the season just gone.2 -

I got an email almost instantly with next season's e-tickets and the link to download to my Apple wallet.D'oh!Same - yes I should have tried the link.0 -
Too early to say IMHOAFKABartram said:I think it’s disappointing tbh. Can’t see us selling more than another 1,000 from now.

Clearly a late rush before the deadline and after safety confirmed. That may continue.
Some will always leave it late to keep money in bank or to see who we sign
Also payday for many would be Friday 1 May which doesn't appear to have been factored in.3 -

If they’ve sold more than they did at this stage then that implies there was another 3-4k or more sold after that last season. 1k might be a tad pessimistic though it wouldn’t have hurt them to extend the deadline now they’ve already sold 9k.0 -
You would expect that following promotion. You wouldn't expect it after staying up. It's a decent number but from there I would not be confident of reaching this season's figure (which I believe is not quite as high as 12,500 anyway).letthegoodtimesroll said:.AFKABartram said:I think it’s disappointing tbh. Some ST prices have come down too, e.g. the centre blocks of the Curbs.se9addick said:
Doubt any Charlton fan would think this bad news. Ticket prices up + sales up (so far) = healthier commercial revenue which, compared to other commensurate clubs, has been a big issue.DOUCHER said:'surpassed the club’s highest Phase One sales total in over 10 years' - sounds like good news although i'm sure somebody will tell us why it isn'tNow we need ST sales to remain strong into the next phase and we’ll be able to say we’re definitely moving in the right direction.
Even if I had waited to renew after the deadline, it would still be cheaper than this season I think.0 -
More like brick in the face at the rusty toolbox.se9addick said:
That’s interesting. I assumed a club would rather sell 100% of home areas as STs rather than turn down STs on the off chance that they get a higher unit cost for walk ups. Bird in hand etc.fenaddick said:
Because you need a decent number of tickets available on a single purchase basis. These cost more, keep non ST holders engaged and allow for new fans. You want a decent chunk of those, especially if you might be able to sell PL priced ticketsChris_from_Sidcup said:
Genuine question but why would they need to cap it?AFKABartram said:
They could just say how many have been sold, which I suspect they would if it was a good figure.DOUCHER said:'surpassed the club’s highest Phase One sales total in over 10 years' - sounds like good news although i'm sure somebody will tell us why it isn't
Millwall have sold over 11,000, and I think will have to cap it soon. Suspect it will be the first ever season since the 92 return they’ll have more ST holders than us :-(
I think the home areas hold about 16k so they're still well short.0 -
I think things have changed over the last decade, certainly since the Covid lockdown and we’re all basically looking at this from an outdated perspective. Those averages for all Championship clubs for this season are probably collectively way above what nearly all of us would have seen in our lifetimes of following football. All clubs have seen seasons of high gates but not as many of them at the same time. We may be underestimating the draw that the Championship actually has these days. Socially on match days it seems to me to have taken on a whole new set of dynamics.Airman Brown said:

I really don’t get the logic of raising the cost so much.shirty5 said:

Thought we had sold more the way the club was talking0

You'd think theyd announce walk up prices to encourage people to commit to a ST asap.valleynick66 said:

If you see something at a shop and it costs £5, but there’s a discount to £3 you’re more likely to get that item because of the value rather than the actual product itself. That’s the incentive to get an early season ticket because you know if you don’t it’s going to go bsck to its original pricevalleynick66 said:

The whole sentence I wrote includes ‘so much’. That’s my point.Crispywood said:
