We need to be mindful of mental health conditions. This may be quite complex. Please exercise some caution

This is so true. In Apter’s case he’s young, moved down to the big smoke, at the same time his younger brother has moved to Cardiff, we don’t know the family dynamic and how it’s all affected him. Add in he started the season well, then lost his place as NJ couldn’t risk him at RWB once Edwards was injured and how that’s affected him.

Judging by Cawley’s latest article seems like Jones has axed Apter from future plans
But he's a project for the long term and some people believed that bullshit.
Have you considered that maybe that was the plan but it hasnt worked out so the plan has changed.
Didn't NJ say he was a project for the long term when he was loaned to Bolton?

Every manager has to say that though they’re never going to say Yh he was a waste of money

Couldn’t exactly say he’s a lazy bag of shite who won’t put the graft in, could he?

Rob Apter had an excellent debut against Watford and spent more time in an attacking role than doing too much defending as a RWB as Ramsey started the season in prime RCB form and covered him and for the first batch of games this worked and Cafc accumulated 15 points from 10 games.

I felt Apter was a good attacking prospect but I said after 3 games, Rob will be exposed when expected to defend when under the cosh and when Josh Edwards was injured on the left side highlighted even more that we needed a defender on the right who can get forward as opposed to the attacker who has to defend.

Apter is getting mixed reviews at Bolton but I thought the relationship with his ex Blackpool colleague Carey was a good combo but the 3-5-2 wasn't condusive for a right attacking, left footed player who was suddenly expected to tackle with his right foot against Championship standard left footers in many occasions unless they were inverse 'wingers'

Rob didn't look like a "lazy bag of shite"  when he came on as sub and went to the right side and worked hard and put in an accurate cross that the defender put in his own net.
I believe that was his last involvement at CAFC before his loan up north to Bolton.

Really not sure if bridges can be rebuild between Nathan and the family of Apter's; unfortunate as we don't have many flair players.

Jones demands hard work, effort and discipline. If you can’t offer that then I think you’re well and truly persona non grata. Don’t see him starting for us again.
I do hope there might be some skill and passing ability added at some stage .
    Hope is a fine thing.

    Precisely.
As I said it was bullshit, but plenty swallowed it.

Fine. So what do either of you have to say about the relevant people on the Charlton payroll who scouted him, conviinced themselves and each other that he could easily be a wing-back, valued him, recommended a 4 year contract, and “worked very hard to get the deal over the line” with a club that didnt want to sell him.

How about naming some names and giving them the same grief you are giving to a 22 year old footballer who simply played very well last season, including against us.

I would say it didn't work out, like many signings.

NB I'm not giving Apter any grief. My comments are obviously directed at the fans who believed in the nonsense spouted in January about Apter being a project for the long term.

You can value about 5% of what comes out of Jones’ mouth , to be fair
