The worst has passed, will get cooler from here.2

Every year I buy another air con unit, just knowing there's at least one cool room to move into really helps psychologically!4

Luckily I booked this week off a while ago as it’s half term. We decided not to book to go away anywhere for once and am glad we did. Been so nice just having a few days relaxing in the garden and doing hardly anything. Going to see Stranger Things tomorrow then out with friends around Borough Market on Thursday for drinks.5

And why do the air con units only last a year? If you kept them all wouldn't you have a cool house?1

Yeah and the nights are getting shorter, didnt use to happen like that back in my day 🌝🌞🌞🌞🌝🌞🌞🌞🌞🌝3

Agree it's bloody dangerous heat levels, but the weathermen love a record don't they, a couple of days ago it was a new record of 32.9 against the previous record of 32.8!!....and guess where they were...runway one at Heathrow Airport, what did they bloody expect...🙄7

I don’t even have a desk fan at home, let alone an air con unit!JiMMy 85 said:Every year I buy another air con unit, just knowing there's at least one cool room to move into really helps psychologically!1 -
If my subs for this place haven’t bought you a fan what have they got you?AFKABartram said:

That Olympic Committee do love a record don't they? It's Usain Bolt, of course he's going to be fast!eastterrace6168 said:Agree it's bloody dangerous heat levels, but the weathermen love a record don't they, a couple of days ago it was a new record of 32.9 against the previous record of 32.8....and guess where they were...runway one at Heathrow Airport, what did they bloody expect...🙄5 -

In Looe, Cornwall.
It's hot but there is a sea breeze and a view.

In this country, particularly in London, this is too hot for me personally. Love the Sun, the fact the days have gotten longer, but I have a 3 and a 1 year old boy. The youngest hasn’t started walking yet and I spent the best part of the weekend having to constantly pick him up in the garden and try to get him back in the shade. Y’day I gave up and spent the afternoon indoors as it was just too hot. They really struggle at night in the heat. The oldest isn’t down now as I type this at 9pm. Hot and bothered
Even better is when I work from home I’m in the loft conversion. Ridiculously stuffy and dead hot air up there today 😂
get those low mid 20s back asap4 -
This type of weather always reminds me of having it away with QPR all the way back to Penge after a game at selhurst. Far too hot so I just watched from a distance before jumping on a bus.0

Train home at rush hour was standing room only, no air con, sits outside Hither Green for ages.
Gotta love South Eastern.2 -

Have spent the last 11 days visiting QEH. Spare a thought for the staff working there. The whole place is like a Turkish Bath. It’s insane, no idea how they cope.5

Official temperatures are recorded using highly calibrated electronic sensors, like Platinum Resistance Thermometers (PRTs), housed in a ventilated white box called a Stevenson screen. This setup is mounted 1.25 to 1.5 meters above natural grass and shielded from direct sunlight to measure true air temperature.eastterrace6168 said:Agree it's bloody dangerous heat levels, but the weathermen love a record don't they, a couple of days ago it was a new record of 32.9 against the previous record of 32.8....and guess where they were...runway one at Heathrow Airport, what did they bloody expect...🙄7 -

I've got proper aircon fitted in my bedroom. Absolutely freezing in there very quickly. Love it as I am not a person who appreciates the heat, must be the Scottish ancestry!
Trouble is I chose to go away and am sweltering in a first floor flat with windows that crack open only a touch and it's like living in a furnace. 😭0 -
Some bloke interviewed on the BBC talking about the heat said....." I love it, if this is climate change then bring it on".
I could have twatted the geezer.12 -
Probably should have started an only fans website.fenaddick said:

We're gonna need some serious infrastructure adapation in the very near future.golfaddick said:Some bloke interviewed on the BBC talking about the heat said....." I love it, if this is climate change then bring it on".

Got to love its “climate change” enthusiasts, last week when it was 12 degrees its radio silence then soon as it goes over 28 “climate change, climate change” then back under the rocks they go next week when the temperatures drop. When I was growing up it was just simply labelled as a nice bank holiday weekend.6

You can't be that stupid, surely?TD_Addick said:Got to love its “climate change” enthusiasts, last week when it was 12 degrees its radio silence then soon as it goes over 28 “climate change, climate change” then back under the rocks they go next week when the temperatures drop. Are you on a wind up or just naturally stupid?TD_Addick said:Got to love its “climate change” enthusiasts, last week when it was 12 degrees its radio silence then soon as it goes over 28 “climate change, climate change” then back under the rocks they go next week when the temperatures drop.
