A lot depends on the humidity, I was once in Aqaba with a temp in high 30's and low humidity which was acceptable and a few days later in Port Sudan with similar temp but very high humidity which was horrible.1

And the point that TD keeps ignoring. This isn't a localised weather event or even a country wide. This is an entire continent and bits of a couple other continents experiencing what should be a thousand year event. But is happening for the 4th time in 6 years. And if the El nino predictions are anything to go by this will be minor compared to what is coming later in the year.2 -

The problem comes when those with a vested interest in continuing to burn fossil fuels, promote mis/disinformation for their own benefit. They are likely to be the ones most able to protect themselves from the worst effects of climate change. They will be able to afford air conditioning, be able to protect themselves from flooding and able to pay the very high price for food that others cannot afford. Between 950 and 1250 CE was an unusual period of warmer climate known as The Medieval Warm Period estimated to be up to warmer than the preceding centuries. That final half-sentence looks to be quite enlightening. Most people 'believe' in climate change because they have weighed up the evidence presented to them and have reached a conclusion based on that evidence. For some that will be an instant and unconscious decision based on their immediate reaction to the facts. For others it will be a conscious decision based on painstaking analysis. And for many, maybe most of us, it's be somewhere in-between those two. According to what you've said above, your decision making is based on something different: avoidance or denial of factual information which you (might) find scary. The tragedy is that it doesn't mean that what's happening isn't happening, it just means that you're ignoring the facts. And that explains perfectly why you have chosen to ignore every single piece of factual evidence for climate change presented here, and presumably anywhere else.TD_Addick said:

Except of course the Medieval Warm Period didn't happen across the globe and some areas had little to no temperature change. Global temperatures were 0.2-0.4 degrees higher than in previous centuries. Since the late 19th century the earth's average surface temperature has increased by about 1.2 degrees, and has accelerated in recent decades. This warming is global and has affected the poles, tropics, and temperate zones equally and has caused rising sea levels, melting polar ice, more frequent extreme weather events and huge ecological changes. The global nature of the climate change and rate of warming is unprecedented. While some areas benefited form the MWP others suffered massively; the Mayan cities of Central America had mega droughts and Andean civilisation all but collapsed as Lake Titicaca evaporated. Other areas had intense flooding and caused communities to bunch up into larger ones in safer areas that hadn't been affected due to the non-global nature of the changes; but where do you go if the entire planet is heating up? The MWP is a completely irrelevant comparison point for modern human-caused climate change, but then it's very useful if you've already decided to not believe in climate change and want to come up with a more obscure argument that hasn't been as publicly torn apart as the others. I go by my own experience of things and also doing my research I choose not to believe someone standing in front of the TV with a posh voice pointing to a graph it takes more than that for me. So please stop sharing the graph it isn’t working.In my life on this planet I feel the weather has been the same, some hot days some cold days and rainy days. I then took time to look at how many climate and weather surges cold and hot have happened over the centuries and it’s happened a lot.Again if you want to believe Mr Scientist standing in front of your TV pointing to his graph then please feel free to continue that way of receiving information that’s your choice but I choose differently, this will be the final thing I post on the topic because clearly some of you can’t accept people are different and enjoy throwing words around like “stupid” and “ignorant” so best to walk away.To the original post yes it is f**king hot 😂 enjoy the weather everyone.6

I spent everyday for weeks at Danson Park lido. Because that's what you are arguing against. A massive body of research following the scientific method over a period of 60 odd years by thousands of professional scientists and researchers all peer reviewed repeatable studies and calculations. If you are disagreeing with that then the burden of proof is on you to show why that's wrong. And no claims that the whole scientific community are "in on" some kind of conspiracy or paid for by lizard people aren't enough.

Ohh and this might sound crazy but Mr Scientist isn't actually standing in front of your TV! He's actually inside the TV. They keep him there all the time and bring him out when needed. Genuinely tho TD I know from experience with family members what these conspiracy theory communities (whether online or in person) can be like they draw you in and isolate you to keep you there and separate you from people in your life and the real world. Things can get nasty if you try to leave or even talk about leaving. If ever you want to get out of that world there are support groups and people who have been through it who can offer practical help and share their experiences to help you through the process.
