Disappointed the greatest World Cup keeper of all time, Ochoa, isn’t starting for Mexico

What a stadium that place is, amazing2

Just learnt that at 59, Jorge Campos is still playing club football in Mexico.3

I’ve looked but can’t find a daily round up of matches on BBC or ITV. Is there one I’ve missed?
I would want that as I can’t see me being able to justify watching every match at home. There’d be arguments and I’d be exhausted.1 -
Why is this game starting late0

Do South Africa really have a player called Shithole 👀0

I was looking over the tv schedule for the first few days and couldn't see anything. I reckon this may come in from the final round of group games.iainment said:I’ve looked but can’t find a daily round up of matches on BBC or ITV. Is there one I’ve missed?

I will look to watch you tube highlights of the night matches.0 -
If you are including Scottish grounds and keeping in mind that three countries are hosting the tournament this time, then Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and it’s 76,000+ capacity should be born in mind.stoneroses19 said:
In that scenario, personally I’d put Evertons new ground way above Anfield in the pecking order.sam3110 said:We'd easily be able to host a 16 stadium world cup, especially if we have 12 years to plan it.
Straight off the bat you'd have:
Wembley
White Hart Lane
Principality
Etihad
Anfield
Celtic Park
St James' Park
Aviva
Stadium Of Light
New Birmingham Stadium
That's 10 grounds, ready to go, all above 40k.
Given Qatar had all their stadiums in one city pretty much, and London is fucking huge, they should allow us Emirates, West Ham, maybe even Twickenham.
You'd then probably see one of the Sheffield teams, Leeds, Bristol, Southampton, Coventry, Forest and a couple of others look to get in on the act and upgrade their stadiums for it too, it's easily done.0 -
We'll be seeing a lot more goals that involve shocking defending.Laddick01 said:South Africa are absolutely awful.0 -

Mexico look pretty pony themselves2

My main concern with this tournament is Callum doing pages of match threads with him being the only one watching14

Is Ally McCoist drunk or has his speech got even worse?1

Hard to see how they have only lost 2 international matches in the last 60 in this stadium ! On this showing I would take a last 16 against themcafcnick1992 said:Mexico look pretty pony themselves1 -
A lot of talk that Mexico at the Azteca would be a tough RO16 matchup.
Not quite seeing that at the moment.1 -

Quite like the refcam thing, but poor refs having to wear that headset thing in the heat.2

I thought they were going to use VAR for corner decisions?
They clearly got that one wrong.0 -
Did he really?! Please post this, I need it in my life.SDAddick said:Matthew Mcconaughey did the intro for US TV. No mention of time being a flat circle, of this place being like the memory of a town, or any other classics from True Detective.
Rebecca Lowe does the pre match with Theirry Henry, who is immediately incredibly charming, Zlatan, who is Zlatan but I bet will be good value, and Alexei Lalas, who remains unfortunate.1 -
Good goal by Amari'i Bell.1

Reminds me of one of my favourite brainless comments, back in early online gaming. My brother was playing some early COD type game with an American lad and Spanish speaking lad. The Spanish speaking lad says something in Spanish and the yank furiously shouts “SPEAK ENGLISH THIS IS AMERICA” 😖Leroy Ambrose said:BarnehurstBob said:Well, Opening Ceremony is self indulgent Mexican 'songs' and 'dance'.
