Funny isn't it ..I am quite partial to Laphroaig but can't cope with Ardbeg or Talisker for example. Such are the wonders of the human palate

Don’t have any pretensions to being any sort of whisky (or whiskey) expert but enjoy the occasional malt and / or blended.

@Len\'s_little_girl went to Wales for a wedding and returned with a bottle of Penderyn Legend single malt whisky which is very pleasant to my taste anyway.

I’ve spent quite a lot of time in Wales over the years but didn’t realise you could get Welsh whisky. Like I said I am no expert but thought I’d mention it in case others were/are similarly unaware.

Got myself a nice Glenfarclas 10. Not going to set the heart racing but about as good as it gets for a Speyside of that age

Penderyn make some very decent whisky, well worth trying out

I came to whiskey late in life but I find I enjoy all types beyond the cheap stuff. Talisker, peat, sherry cask...bring it on. Got a nice Bushmills sherry cask (steam ship collection or something similar) and it goes down great.
