    Only one country has won the World Cup without later winning it at least once more. This wasn't true from 1998 to 2026 but order has now been restored.

    (This is only true if you accept the German view that modern-day Germany is the same country as West Germany).

    Haaland on his own scored 7.
    That Chelsea prick scored against us in the semi.
    I’m pretty sure there was a lot of talk about a bunch of Sunderland players who scored in the group stages too. Also, Merino got a couple as did Havertz.

    I think the fact should state it was the first by an England player at the WC, from the Premier League.

    My memory isn’t so good nowadays, but I think I remember some England player or other scoring in a game before the third place play off match?

    I presume your point is the fact that Bellingham / Kane already had six goals, whilst Dembele only had five goals pre- the 3rd Place Game
