    Was hoping Belgium would be more a threat than they turned out to be, in the end it was a comfortable win for Spain. 

    Spain v France should be a slobberknocker though.

    Shame for Belgium. Would have liked to see them get through and if Courtois hadn't got injured it would have gone to extra time.

    Game started brightly but was very pleased didnt have to suffer another 30 mins of the dross on offer in the second half once belgium subs were on

    That's absolute nonsense though. Belgium had a superb gameplan and gave Spain WAY more of a scare than almost anyone expected. They absolutely had their chances too. It wasn't a comfortable win in any way

    Spain and France are on a different level to most teams in this WC. In terms of entertainment and chaos they're probably not leading the way.

    I always switch to the Radio 5 commentary via iPlayer. Shame I can't do the same for Matterface/Dixon tonight, they are dreadful!

    This is going to age badly but I feel we are going to do it. Tuchel has got this right. He guides the ship with the small movements when they are needed. He doesn't over manage.

    lol strangely I’m also confident about victory tonight but I don’t see Rice and Bellingham both getting through without the fatal booking which scuppers our chances against the argies !!

    I remember it well - but Norway don't have a Beckenbauer, Seeler or Muller.
    BTW when I say comfortable lead I meant something like 5-0 at half time ;)

    South Africa and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams has died at the age of 25, just weeks after featuring for his country at the World Cup.

    Adams featured in all three of South Africa's group games at the tournament, where they reached the knockout stages before losing to co-hosts Canada in the round of 32.
