Hmmm. Wonder what sanction will be? Yet our fans can’t even bring in remembrance flags because it’s political?

To be fair Tuchels squad selection and managment has been pretty sloppy.
It's clear he had no faith in half of them once we'd settled in the US.
The question has to be why?
I don’t agree with that. Spence was a ‘bad’ choice but he was our best player.

Tonight was all about in game management where he’s meant to excel and it was a complete failure.
He left Kane on who was having absolutely zero effect even prior to making him our 9th defender with no legs toward the end.
Why not bring ollie watkins on and at least offer some form of outball?

In a southern hemisphere competition with all the heat humidity and extra games, squad rotation was always going to be key. He had no faith in them and that's on him

Also wtf happened to Pickford, those last two goals he was all over the place?! He’s lost his head completely. Harsh on Tuchel, I get the pelters on defence and I think his big mistake was putting Burn on. Yes he’s great in the last two but against technical teams he’s exposed, hugely, the old big English lad wasn’t the option in this game. We needed pace and counter threat but we had none so the Argies knew they could camp as we had no output
Are you seriously blaming Pickford for those two goals…….you must be fucking mocking pal.😡
Pickford has been superb for England. I challenge anyone to name a more consistent goalkeeper for us since David Seaman.

Is he consistent? He was, not sure he is now
Pickford has had a poor tournament. Should have saved Croatia's first goal, Congo's goal, Norway's goal, and he's certainly not without blame for Fernandes' tonight, his positioning was all wrong and that's without the fact it came from a corner he shouldn't have given away. Too many instances for it to be bad luck for me.

As for the Seaman comment, again, at major moments he made crucial errors. Gave away a sloppy pen against Argentina in 98, and then got lobbed with Ronaldinho in 2002. We have a tendency to look back on GKs with rose tinted spectacles IMO.

FIFA will probably give them a £10,000 fine.

    Pure total and utter scum.

Happy to come and play and get paid in our country though, if that’s how they feel, fuck them off.
I’ve been defending them but I agree with you, and my Argentinian wife thinks they're stupid too.

When they won the tournament in 2022, Brighton had a great celebratory welcome back for Alexis MacAllister. He and other Argentinians have been treated with more than just respect.  Now they should be made to feel ashamed of themselves, making nonsensical political statements against the people who pay their huge salaries and support them. I hope fans boo MacAlllister and Romero next season.
Humility and respect doesn’t cost a penny, they are showing neither.

I’m not blaming Pickford, read it, but he was all over the place, watch his positioning and decision making. He’s been great but he’s become erratic and it unsettles defences when he needs to be stronger.
“I’m not blaming Pickford”….then blames Pickford.

Ffs. Okay read what you want. I’ve not blamed Pickford at all, you can see the panic all over in that last phase and that’s when you need a keeper to step up and I felt he melted a bit. After the save from the header he was nowhere near and also gave a needless corner away. We needed leaders and it’s not up to Kane and Jude, we also need the experience and he was average. That is not blame it’s just asking for a bit more than he gave

What’s that gotta do with squad selection which you brought up?

plus the USA isn’t in the southern hemisphere and it was indoors.

Youre literally talking about in game management which is what I said was to blame.

No doubt FIFA will produce some spurious VAR footage that shows the banner actually says "Well done everyone! Isn't football marvelous? We just hope everyone had a nice time"

And there, ladies and gentlemen, is the truth of it. We've made our beds by pledging our allegiance to a bunch of unreliable, incompetent, bottlers - club and country - who just occasionally scrape together some kind of achievement by fluke.

Whether by choice or dint of birth, or other circumstances, that's our lot and, like an addict chasing the ever-shortening and increasingly infrequent highs while blocking out the lengthening and deepening, we'll be back for more.

I'm mean, I wouldn't change it for the world, but, right now, it God damn fucking sucks balls!

How does Tuchel recover from this? It seems mad to hand a manager a contract covering multiple tournaments. Surely the sensible approach is to appoint them through the next major tournament, then decide on an extension based on their performance. That way, if things go well they stay on, and if they don't, you're not tied to a manager who's already lost the confidence of the fans.

Agree, but seemingly our previous greats are untouchable. If you want to be a legend you don’t stop at hero

Let’s be honest Argentina has better overall quality in their squad than us.  We are pretty much Kane/Bellingham/Rice and then a bunch of players who wouldn’t start for Argentina.  The pure narcissism of our fans all week indicating the only way we could lose was because of the refs was embarrassing

England world cup win trumps everything in football for me. Haven't been close in the nine world cups in my lifetime. Tonight was the best chance we've had to reach the final at least.

Tuchel got us to a semi final of a world cup and we was 5 min from a final, I don't think sacking him is the answer. The players have to take some blame for crumbling.

he doesn't - the german scag head looking twat will walk off with some dough but he has to go - a complete waste of time and money and we move on - just give us a manager with some bollox who applies the basic principles - u go 1 up, the oppo come on to u and take risks so u exploit the space that they leave by having some pace on the break - its not rocket science ffs

Can the two not be linked?
If you select members of a squad that you clearly have no complete faith in then that is going to severely effect your in game management plan.
Hence why he had to leave players on the pitch that had quite clearly ran their race.

Na I think it’s the first time I’m not blaming the players. The shift in tactics was wholly on the manager. Got absolutely no problem with any of the boys on the pitch.

He justified his squad selection by making two full back changes that worked for 60 mins. What he got wrong was his subs. Foden or palmer wouldn’t have made a difference, it was his in game management that fucked it up.

Sack German Tuchel and bring in a manager who knows how to win, maybe Argentinian Simeone... 🤣

I mean, I've never rated Tuchel and this world cup he left Palmer, Foden, Wharton, Maguire and others at home and took a semi retired Toney, a never good enough Chalobah, an over the hill Henderson etc.  poor poor choices.  RB was a constant issue that he bought upon himself.

We were bad v Ghana, uninspiring v Panama; dreadful v Congo, good against Mexico, Poor v Norway and collapsed v Argentina.

Subbing Rice on 82 mins only to concede from a poorly closed down shot on edge of box 3 minutes later was madness.  The subs were poor, the tactics were poor then he tried to dodge responsibility in his interview after.

    Pissed off.
