Well, reducing prices is one way (and i think the importance of this is overstated as we couldn't give tickets away at one point), the most significant factor is the quality of football (fanzones, mascots, all that other nonsense is largely irrelevant)so as said above, its chicken and egg. I think they've made a real effort to transform our style of play this season and if it works, that should get the fairweathers down there more often.LargeAddick said:

I also think its quite an achievement that our support has held up as well as it has considering the relative success of palace, west ham and millwall over the last decade. Rodwell said we're on a good trajectory in that respect and we are but increasing the 20k average to say 25k is going to be a lot harder than say 14-15k to £20k without either promotion to the prem, very entertaining football and / or a collapse in our neighbours form and picking up some floaters. I think GC underestimates the impact / amount of floating goes on between us and Millwall in particular.5

I see Rodwell is getting some stick albeit mainly in jest, but I am fascinated by his and NJ's working relationship, it clearly works, but they just seem total opposites5

We don’t really know what his day to day role sees him doing in relation to what NJ does.My perception is that his role isn’t really full time / needs him to be there very much BUT he has a genuine football background beyond that of the rest of the ‘management’ team and therefore has some value if only via his ‘network’.I think NJ has intimated that JR is his go to if he needs something from the ownership. Just a chain of command thing.The laughable thing for me is the self obvious personal promotion by doing things like this event and the tired template approach to comms when we make a signing. Just a predictable corporate approach to these things.As I say just my perception.0

You seem totally out of kilter with the ways of Comm teams everywhere over the last few years.
Do you remember the black and white scarves and what they represented regarding the owner and CEO/Coo etc ?
After the odious fantasist Matt Southall, I don't have strong views either way on Rodwell but he is still a breath of fresh air compared to Rancid Southall.2 -

But when he is probably paid 200k plus a year he can get his White belt out there for two hours every six months and answer questions for the peasants.
