For the love of god, can people PLEASE remember to bring their binoculars if planning on walking dogs or cycling near Avery Hill Park!
Problem with that is you’ll be mistaken for a Southampton analyst.

Another day and stjohnshill nowhere to be seen

St John's hill have been head hunted by Millwall.
No loyalty when it comes to ITK folk.

Noticed we've not heard from StJohnsHill since the Kaminski drama started
    Greetings from Rotterdam
Luckily we have Blackfen Len and lad ghillied up down at Sparrows. Stand down for now StJohns.

If Mbick was part of the JRS deal, it would need to be cash and JRS for Mbick, and we all know that isn't happening

Out of interest how much do you genuinely think Mbick is worth
It's not about how much I think he's worth, but what the club thinks he is.

We turned down 5m already in January, right now based on age, size, what he's already done in senior football and the fact he's English and a striker, he's probably "worth" 7m or so. If he breaks into the team this season and does well, double it.

Players are "worth" what a club will pay be that wages or transfer fees.

We can guess what fees might be based on rumoured wages or fees from other deals but in the end it will be whatever we're willing to pay and the other club is willingly to accept.

Hopefully, after a lot of to and fro, the two clubs valuations meet and the player is happy with the contract but there is no true worth.

JRS is in his last year of contract with ten days left of this window and only January to come. If he’s, as being suggested here worth £5 million at this point then it suggests to me that his real value is somewhat higher. Possibly £6 - 7 million. To me that’s a nonsense. He’s worth nowhere near £6 million let alone 7. For me given his contract status he’s worth near than £3 - 4 million tops. He’s still a lot to prove.
Maybe, but that's like saying you wouldn't pay more than a £1 for a loaf of bread.

If you want decent bread, then you have to pay the going rate.

    #bread analogy....you saw it here first 😊

Players in their last year of contract value drops because clubs want something rather than nothing. I can see him leaving Palace this window for about £3 - 4 million. If he had three years left it would be closer to £6 - 7 million. Gamble for Palace to hang on too long. He’s not going to feature for them. They won’t want a loan at this point. They’ll want money.

Me and the boy just walking the dog over Avery Hill Park wandered down past the training ground and Okonkwo was in goal in a practice match
You could get a job with Southampton! 😁

Signings of his quality should be our bread and butter going forwards.
