Risky for us if he’s had a good season. If we can tie him up in January that’s best option.fenaddick said:
No need when he’s out of contract next yearLargeAddick said:Loan with option/obligation to buy maybe.0 -

so does signing him on a loan (possibly/ hopefully with an option to buy) mean we have saved cash in this window to buy JRS?

It being a loan means we must be making a push for JRS5

Why would we have an option to buy. He’s out of contract in the summergringo said:so does signing him on a loan (possibly/ hopefully with an option to buy) mean we have saved cash in this window to buy JRS?1 -
Some of us enjoy the thread to catch up on transfer rumours, not having to endure pages of fish/bread puns.22

Would be nice to have a keeper that stays for a good few seasons. Not ideal having a different “Number 1” every season or 2.4

I think you’re chances of that are toast!!cafcsinger said:Some of us enjoy the thread to catch up on transfer rumours, not having to endure pages of fish/bread puns.2 -
Bit annoying its a loan deal but at least it gets it done now.
Only thing I dont like is if it works out well then Wrexham will recall him in January and could sell him for more than what we can offer7 -
Feels like not many clubs are in for keepers in January thoughForeverAddickted said:Bit annoying its a loan deal but at least it gets it done now.

I guess they’re just happy to get the wages off their books, and we’re happy to take a look, knowing that in most scenarios his wage will be affordable if we actually want him in 12 months time.

Better than to be caught in a sandwich of posters moaning at each other 😊7 -
We'll be promoted by then 😃Callumcafc said:I would assume that a loan prevents him from facing his parent club on 8th Dec and 24th April1 -
Lads, I understand AO might have a lot of upside and Wrexham have a different transfer/player development policy to us.
But with him being 3rd choice for them, surely it's more of a risk to get him on a long contract and he does not develop with us and we end up with a team of 2nd/3rd choice keepers on our book.

NJ’s presser is normally out by now, would a signing announcement hold up the release?4

It's harsh that he is 3rd choice as Danny Ward is dog shite. Paterson didn't cover himself in glory against that Cardiff free kick on Monday.FishCostaFortune said:Lads, I understand AO might have a lot of upside and Wrexham have a different transfer/player development policy to us.

Loan move makes sense for us more than Wrexham, we can take a look over the next 12 months and don't have to pay a fee that impacts our ability to spend on a RW. If successful, we're in pole position to sign a talented young keeper on a free transfer next summer.2

I'm starting a gofundme page for Ronnie
Kamikazie going and TC flying, he's going to need some expensive counselling13 -
Frustrating if Okonkwo is a loan - he does well and we risk losing him in the summer, and any resale value for a young keeper.
