How much would JRS be on a week with us? Must be 20-25k at Palace.

Just looked it up. Google reckons 10k a week at Palace.

Reams now saying fee going be less then 5million but more add on for palace if we get promoted in next 2-3years and few others adds ons
How odd, exactly what Cawley said in his podcast around the fee.

    “Valuation of around 5m”

Cawley mentioned in his recent pod that his basic at Palace wasn't huge and that part of loan deals was an increase in salary from the clubs he went to. Or something along those lines

Would £5m break our transfer record? I think Bent ended up being our record signing after all the add ons.
Pretty sure it’s still Jason Euell at 4.75m ish
It’s Darren Bent after the sell on to Ipswich from us selling him to Spurs.

IF JRS is happening, then I hope they get a bloody move on with it...🙄
If it is happening then I'm 100% sure it will be done by 11pm on Sept 1st.

*plus another 2 hours if a deal sheet has gone in.

Tom Kamikaze just doesn't command his area, he rarely comes for crosses just stands on his goal line. He doesn't control shots i.e. instead of catching he pushes the ball away which is fine if he pushes it sideways away from the goal but he pushes it back into the danger area. How did he ever become a million pound keeper ? He's now added a new technique to his goalkeeping, stands on flat feet watching the ball fly past him into the net.

People are asking if AO is any better than what we have, well I have to say I hardly know anything about him but he surely can't be any worse than what we already have & it's a season loan so we're not tied to any 4 bloody year deal if he turns out to be not quite what we need.

I like all of our signings.... BUT I am not convinced we have solved our midfield problems. At present we have added Chalobah, a good player but not reliable fitnesswise. And we have signed Ouma, who has not had a preseason and has no Champ experience.
Maybe we just could not afford/ attract the kind of dominant pivot in midfield that we lack, but I am afraid we will still get overrun in midfield in many games.
I know that we haven't seen much of Ouma yet, but I have a feeling that he will be a fantastic signing for us. From what I've watched, he is dynamic, quick, aggressive and a great passer - I love him already and others will too. 🇰🇪

Going round circles eh. I wasn't aware the subject had been discussed. Haven't read the whole thread.

Absolutely beautiful if JRS comes off. Yes, I know Bell can play LB, and that Mesik seems to be able to play anywhere in the back 4, and that Docherty might still be here and Knibbs/JRC aren't here instead but blimey, it's nice to have some depth!!!

So if JRS came in, who plays?, he starts you would imagine, Grant hasn’t come to sit on the bench, Tc plays. Tough decisions for NJ, especially when Kelman is fit, Ouma is fit, Chalobah stays fit. The competition from the midfield going forward is looking a lot better, I was critical of CC, but actually think he may step up to the challenge. Knibbs, Doc, JRC might not get loads of game time. The better looking quality we have brought in might just make everyone better. I think we are moving in the right direction.
