I think largely, it's unbelievable for us and the position we've been in the last few years to have options all over the pitch & versatility, it's not perfect but it's a huge year on year improvement overall.37

Charlie Kirk got to be one of the worst players of all time to put on our shirt, he was absolutely crap 95% of the time, obviously had some hardships while coming down but I don't miss praying every GW would be the one where he would finally knuckle down and turn it around, only for it to never happen4 -

He must’ve been doing something right in training to keep getting picked. I remember Lincoln away he spent the first half hiding from the ball, a deflected ball landed at his feet in space and he just threw his hands up in panic. My one recollection of Charlie Kirk was him receiving the ball close to the half way when the oppo keeper was in OUR box, and he shoots limply towards goal and misses (dont even think it reached the goalline)5

He was our best centre back for that first half of the season in my opinion, but that probably says more about the rest of them (Lavelle, Thomas etc) than it does about O'Connell.MartinCAFC said:
