Realistically how many people who either aren't CAFC fans at all or are relatively uncommitted will be that fussed about going to a midweek Carabao Cup 2R game in such a grim inaccessible part of London? Appreciate visiting the stadium holds some appeal but there are not exactly a lack of alternative opportunities to do so.
My Lincoln City supporting mate wanted to go, didn't you @Boom?

(But then he is half Charlton anyway, and has probably been to more of our games than theirs in the past 20 years!)

In trying to get a ticket for Spurs, my loyalty points were shown as 505.  I could not determine how that figure was calculated so I  contacted the ticket office.
They replied promptly with a breakdown.
    25/26 ST + 26/27 ST (jnc Early bird ) +  Chelsea cup ticket = 230 + 280 + 5 = 515

I replied that a home cup ticket was 10 points but the emaill reply was " all cup games are 5 points".

A check on the CAFC website confirms that home cup games are 10 points.

I''m still awaiting a response to my last emai.  They have changed my points in my account to 515, i stil. Maintain it should be 520.

Could be worth checking your own loyalty points

It’s not a bad thing for the club to review the arrangements from time to time.

Lots of constructive comments on here and personally if I was a new season ticket holder I’d believe I would be able to get a ticket for this match, based on the allocation, even if I was unable to bring a mate along. I don’t think that would be an unreasonable assumption.

The club do not want to discourage new season ticket holders who want to feel part of the Charlton community and may be unaware how the stages / phases work.

Sorry, why would you think that ?
There are way more season ticket holders than tickets available for this game - how would that work ?
Coz not all season ticket holders would want an away ticket and a new season ticket holder may be unaware that its 2 tickets per person - as was i - you'd probably think you have a good chance of being in the reasonable assumption of say 50% of season ticket holders who want one - my mate didn't get one and he's had a season ticket for over 40 years - he doesn't get to every home game but he still buys an ST and his comments after he missed out contained some spicy language and questioned whether he'll bother with the ST going forwards. The 2 ticket thing needs sorting out.
You've been on this forum for 12 years, how didnt you know that things like this are 2 pp ?
Too busy fighting with @MillwallFan :D

Okay thank you I was  not aware of that ,I was using information published on the website that stated 10 points for home cup games.  Notwithstanding that  misunderstanding the original points total did include an error in totalling the points so it is still worthwhile checking the calculation of loyalty points.

Since 3:25 I’ve received 13 confirmation of ticket purchase e-mails for the Spurs game. But only one of the two tickets were attached to one of the e-mails. Anybody else having problems?
I’m up to 14 now. In amongst those was my e-ticket but not my sons which was on same order
Not sure what the problem was, but I’ve now, at 10:10, received my second ticket. If someone is at the club sorting it out at this time of night, then fair play. Shows extreme commitment and good to know we’ve got some good people working in the background.

We're parking at the Tesco Extra on Glover Drive.
30mins walk £26. Bit expensive but what can you do.
I can let people know now cause we've already booked.

Bit of a heads up as I've got my weather hat on, but there's a growing chance of some really big storms kicking off on Wednesday night across London..

I've just tried to get my Spurs tickets and am disgusted to find that they've sold out.
Ok I missed all the stages but it's not my fault.
I shall be consulting my solicitor first thing in the morning.

Did he get a spare ?
It just so happens that my solicitor is in VG and got me a ticket when they went on sale yesterday at 11am.
He estimated there were thousands left when VG only priority opened.

He's also a S/T who went to 6 aways last season so could have got them on Tuesday.
When Phase 7 began (530+ points OR VG) there were a handful of seats left in the lower tier ... but the middle tier (Blocks 420-424) didn't look like they were opened up until then so there was probably a minimum of a couple of thousand seats on offer.
Yes I know there were thousands left.
    My solicitor told me.
You've obviously got a good relationship with your solicitor,  he/she must have got you off loads of charges.

Anyway, moving this thread on hopefully, any more suggestions for areas to drink in?

We're heading there from Paddington, and would have had my fill of trains by the end of the day.

Have a beer in Finsbury Park then get the tube from there.

They are 3-0 down at Brentford (who have just done a Taty and hit the post from a penalty too). Hope it doesn’t make them too angry.

    I'd go this:-
    Okonkwo
    Danny
    Collins
    Billy
    Mesik
    Mwamba
    Ouma/Doc*
    Alli/Reid*
    Knibbs
    Karlan
    Mbick

    * Equals 45 each, not fussed who starts.  But Strong subs bench.

Can't guarantee it's secure but streets just north of Pymmes Park are outside the CPZ and a 20-25min walk to stadium (alternatively you can hop on train at Edmonton Green or Silver Street to White Hart Lane station)...

Be interesting to see what kind of side we put out. Don’t want to see 11 changes or anything dramatic such as playing the kids. But think there will be a few looking for minutes plus some to protect:

    Mesik for Bell
    Mwamba for Chalobah
Knibbs in (suspect Leaburn may be rested and Grant moves up top)
    Maybe Alli in as well.

    Something like:

    Okonkwo

    McNamara
    Jones
    Big Bill
    Mesik

    Coventry
    Mwamba / JRC

    Alli
    Knibbs
    TC

    Grant

Leaburn, Carey are options off the bench. Ouma can get another 45 mins under his belt here as well

Donr want or break up the Jones / Koumetio partnership just as they are building up a great understanding and good luck getting Lloyd out the team anyway.

McNamara looked absolutely spent at the end.

As he has some injury problems recently  might be better to rest him and bring Collins in.

We need to get minutes into our squad players. We will need them when we have 4 championship games in 2 weeks coming up. I honestly don’t care about the result, save the big guns for Preston

Mannion (think he probably deserves to play and Jones always plays his backup in the cups)

    Sichenje
    Jones
    Koumetio
    Mesik

    Costello
    Coventry
    Mwamba

    Alli
    Mbick
    Knibbs

Would even maybe put Burke in for one of the centre backs and then just let Jones and Koumetio do 45 minutes each. If Ouma is fit enough I’d start him too

Mannion's injured so he won't play, I doubt Brooks will be trusted either. Definitely need some changes though

    Okonkwo
    Sichenje Burke/Jones Koumetio Mesík
    JRC Mwamba
    Apter Knibbs Alli
    Mbick

Honestly don't think we should be stressing too much.

After Brentford, Spurs will totally be concentrating on staying in the league.

As much as I think a cup run would be good, we've got decent youngsters that can be played in this game. Let's get them some experience.

If we're not winning at half time, bring a few of the stars on in the 2nd half to take control and ease us into the next round.
