Don’t see us making 11 changes….. we have never done that for a big cup game even deeper into the season when players are tired.

    Can see around 5-7 changes
Disagree. Think we’ll make 11 changes in terms of formation and 10 in terms of personnel.

    Won’t risk any of them.

    Brooks

    sichenje
    Burke
    Bell
    Mesik

    JRC
    Ouma/Mwamba (45 each)
    Knibbs

    Alli
    Apter

    Mbick

    League just too important.

Wouldn't start Burke at all if it could be helped.

Should be looking to shift him if at all possible.

The look on Spurs players' faces when they realise we've made 11 changes and put out a reserve team - against their reserve team! 😁

    Play Burke against Spurs
    Keep a clean sheet
Accept Spurs’ £100m offer for Burke
    Arsenal away in next round
    👍🏻
£100m is lot to pay for a player that will play 15 mins

After yesterday’s game, McNamara said he hopes he’s playing against Spurs, but doesn’t know Nathan’s plan yet. I imagine a lot of our current starting 11 will also be wanting to take part. Those saying they think they’ll be 9+ changes are very wide of the mark imo.

Don’t think it is possible unfortunately. So might as well play him and try and get him fit, although he’s broken he is quite good when he plays

After their performance yesterday I think they will go full strength mate De Zerbi blamed lack of fitness so he will be looking to get minutes into them

As a footballer, decent. No question.

But his fitness and injury record is atrocious and whilst I think we should move him on, I would give the majority of the minutes to someone else if possible and bring him on with 20 to go.

I agree he needs to play but to say he’s not let us down is wrong. He has let us down by going down injured early on in games

Play him. Hope he injures himself (not badly, obvs) and rules himself out until Jan.  Guilt free way of not giving him a place in the squad.

Thing is, no one is going to sign him. I would rather have kept Gough around but not much we can do

So in the game v spurs team predictions is JRS playing?, couldn’t be bothered to look through the lineups, assume in the middle somewhere we’ve signed him now?

Gough is getting valuable minutes out on loan and looks like he’s really excelling which will help him progress him as a player.

He gets no benefit being a 5th choice CB, I don’t get why everyone is so against keeping Burke as squad depth. He can only play 15 games a year but if we only need him for 15 games a year then it’s a bit problem and he’s good when he is fit

2 issues I have with this.

    1)  that team could easily get steamroller & lose by 5 or 6. Not good for morale.

    2) why do the starting 11 get to miss out on playing in a great stadium. I'd be pretty pissed off if I was TC or Leaburn. Do all the hard work on a Sat only to find someone else gets to play in the glory tie on Wed.

Going by your team why not go the whole hog & play all the players we are trying to ship out  inc  Doc, Kanu, Kaminski

I agree. I'd keep Burke. He's good enough when he is (rarely) fit

Could happen but I just think it’s what Jones will do. We’re playing on a Wednesday evening with Preston coming on a Saturday.

Jones did something similar against Middlesboro last year and we won.

I won’t say anymore about it on here because as others have said, it’s not the thread for it. I doubt we’ll have signed JRS by then.

He’s getting played as a CM at Bristol

When we sell TC to Preston for £2.8m, will we be able to include a clause preventing him playing on Saturday?

Wouldn't have said this at all when he signed his new year deal but wondering if it was perhaps a mistake to keep Godden as his body unfortunately seems to be failing him in the past year and into this season. Hopefully i'm wrong and he plays plenty of games.
