    Our current AGQ champion

This is why we need to be forensic and exhaustive here

Right so Barry Endean won’t win then?

Sean Newton scored a few great goals, sure he must've had a few scrappy ones as well but can't remember them 🤔

Bartlett scored the goal of the season on match of the day if I remember correctly.

Danny Haynes easily. Not going through all of his goals but his goals against Derby at home and Leicester away were TOP DOLLAR

    Claus Jensen.

If you suggest a serious candidate you need to post videos of every single goal they scored so we can judge properly
I think you've deliberately rigged this in favour of Cameron Stewart by setting the threshold at a mere two goals. What's he paying you, Leuth?

There should be a separate category for players who've reached double figures, and I think Claus would do pretty well in that one.

If I really wanted to rig it for Stewart I'd have said 3, not 2! Anyway it'd be boring if it was just us all talking about Jensen for the zillionth time. This is a thread for the lesser heralded scorers of bangers

This. Although the Average Goal Quality may not be 100% the above montage shows that most of his his were quality AND against top opposition as well. Perhaps there should be factor as to who the goals were against.  Of his 14 goals, Jensen scored 2 against both Man U & Arsenal and all were in the Premier League.

Everyone else on this thread has been all 'oh hey, he scored some right good goals!!!' but they haven't been THOROUGH. Let's do Haynes properly and fully, shall we?

    Goal 1.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U6pTS5qYVM

Lol, lmao. He's already lost to Stewart by now, but I'll still give it a generous Bangerometer mark of 2/10

    Goal 2.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zvtdwRwbao

Close range header, took it well. 5/10

    Goal 3.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btaofZnfbzE

Nice assist. Keeper gets a hand on the header. 5/10 but what a game eh?

    Goal 4.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mCa2Zfz4gk

Rebound off the post. Gonna say 4/10

    Goal 5.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTywIBaAZmM

Great Rob Hulse assist, decent header. 6/10

    Goal 6.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ25JSB8qbo

It's a penalty. It does go in the top corner, though. 6/10

    Goal 7.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0qhGnyt9cI

    10/10, obv.

    Goal 8.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Xa8WbaWLU

That's two 10/10s in a row! Shame about literally every single goal that preceded them

    Goal 9.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLtp2p6weJA

...and the last one too, which is a generous 3/10 rebound

Overall, we have achieved a mark of 51/90, which scales to 5.7/10. Compare and contrast to Stewart's 9/10, 10/10 and 8/10 repertoire, which averages 9/10.

Stewart is still the undefeated AGQ champion. Any challengers must undergo this exacting process, and be surely found wanting.

    1.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_grD1mses8

Flowing move, good finish, questionable defending. 7/10

    2.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk36AoEwWlY

Okay, can't deny, absolute banger 9/10

    3.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwtFQVVDCwk

This is both a 0/10 and a 10/10. It's so iconic I'll go with 10, but its existence does spiritually mean he can't win

    4.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01Egq7QO398

    Penalty, but top corner. 6/10

    5.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5RD7GbGCzk

    Tidy close-range finish. Generous 6/10

    6.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDq6ukrWesQ

Yeah alright 10/10. Actually fuck it as a special treat I'll give it 11/10. You know that was his only goal of the entire season though?

    7.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azu6d9CPKnc

Horrible long throw scramble, great finish, David James' positioning a tad suspect. 7/10

    8.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBna690tazU

Wow, I forgot this one. Okay, 9/10. That's maybe harsh but I gave him an 11 earlier. Alright it's against Ferguson's United 10/10

    9.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cFe-gtqUFg

    Very very tidy finish 8/10

    10.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfb_ZqM3fX4

Commentator says 'lovely lovely goal' so I have to give it 9/10

    11.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bQI_86oNHE

Christ he was pretty fucking good wasn't he? 10/10

    12.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sHcp3-ka3M

Great assist by Roy Carroll but that is a lovely finish tbf. 9/10 due to Ferguson's United weighting

    13.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDghUgFQlLQ

    Fucking hell Claus. I...what? 10/10

    14.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNBKLrgzgt0

Great hit, but it is a deflected goal against Luton in the League Cup so I can only give it 8/10

    15.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEesL9mvJmw

Look. I know this goal was iconic as hell. It was also deflected and the keeper got a big hand on it. Probably my most controversial call but I'm giving it 9/10. This is for a deflected goal, let me remind you. 9/10 for a deflected goal.

    16.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmRwx14mMBg

    Stop it Claus. 9/10 cos...nah, 10/10.

    17.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fuPeIMV4YY

    Lovely forward play 8/10

Okay, look. I was skeptical. But this is a genuinely awesome, incredible body of work. I've calculated it to be a grand total of 146/170, which equates to 8.6/10. This still falls short of Cameron Stewart's 9/10, of course, but it is much closer than I expected. One of our greatest footballers for sure, and some genuinely magical memories I've relived going through all these.

It still doesn't win the AGQ. Sorry, Claus.

Oh whoops, it's 147/170 cos of the 11/10. Still 8.6/10 when rounded to nearest dp.

If you really want to spice things up, you should be looking into the highest AGQ for a centre back...

While I'm here, I must commend you for the dedication shown on this thread. Possibly the most spectacular use of a day where someone is clearly at a loose end I've ever seen. Truly outstanding stuff.

Well thanks Leuth. There I was enjoying trying to think of former players I saw score twice until you've reminded me that we used to be able to watch a player of Claus Jensen's quality score goals at the biggest stadiums in the land and now I feel really depressed

We've seen players of the quality of Lloyd Jones and TC score at one of the biggest stadiums in the land like 3 days ago ftr. And who knows who might score at another of them tomorrow night

No, I'm sorry, Highbury and Old Trafford bring a nostalgia bonus that just can't be met by the two new modern sadness bowls. I will now have no choice but to go through every player in Charlton's history who scored at least two goals to unseat Cameron Stewart. It will turn out to be someone insane like Joe Anyinsah

I was there when he scored at home against Carlisle (EDIT: Notts County, he PLAYED for Carlisle)! It was a tap in, so I've saved you that one

An interesting potential: Kyel Reid. He definitely had at least a couple of bangers among his 6 goals

I've checked his goals. Helpfully it did not take long. I would describe them as functional, though there was one backheel goal that could be described as tasty/semi-intentional. The main surprise was the number of Simon Francis assists I witnessed
