That makes sense, there is no real cover for the big physical striker, but you have Godden, Kelman, Mbick, and I suspect Grant at a pushCovered_End_Lad said:Jebbison is a very similar player to Miles, quick for a big guy, decent with his feet doesn’t score loads but will bring others into play as miles does. I’d be happy with that as a rotation option with miles and mbick1 -
Jebbison is okay as a back up option but not good enough to be a start. He's hold up play is poor and he not great in the air. He works hard but he not better than what we got.3

They haven't bothered to explore any of them after they read the threads on here, from so-called fanatics!DDOUBLEE said:
Well...NabySarr said:I think our trouble is going to be offloading enough players to bring 3 in. Going to be some effort
Kaminski - Gone
Kanu - On the brink of joining Notts County
Docherty - Apparently has interest
Absolutely nothing about any interest in Apter, Knibbs, Asiimwe etc1 -
Anyone know about this Andres Martin? Someones mentioned his name on X0

What I remember happening was that he went up in the air for a challenge, landed on his hip, got up was rubbing his hip/top of back of thigh for a bit then went off. I thought he'd maybe bruised his hip but NJ went immediately with the 'its v bad so I thought i was wrong and it was maybe hamstring.golfaddick said:
It looked a strange one at the time. He seems to go down with no-one around him and at the time when Schenje was being treated. At first I thought it might be cramp - but we had only played 15 mins !eastterrace6168 said:Not wishing to say I told ya so....but i told ya so on the match thread, Billy's looked precautionary...just saying,🙄1 -
This same account said that we were signing Andy Carroll and that he spotted him at The Valley back when Southall took over000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Currently playing for Santander against elche, just bollocks unfortunately10 -
Really decent player but no chance I’d say. I have a Deportivo A Coruna link so kept my eye on Liga 2 last season.JustCharlton said:Anyone know about this Andres Martin? Someones mentioned his name on X2 -

Seems like a wide forward/winger from the second division in Spain. Scored a lot in that league. From what I can gather online, he is very technical and a good finisher but not the quickest winger. There have been rumours of some mls clubs looking to spend around 6 million for him.2

You mean the same bloke who got us out of league 1, kept us up and wants to progress? The bloke wears his heart on his sleeve…he doesn’t hide in laundry baskets or post videos of his morning walks.golfaddick said:
No, I'd rather someone who didnt go into a strop & start saying "well, that's our transfer window fucked now then" leaving everyone to guess what he is talking about and then worrying for nothing.Brownie12 said:
Golfie would rather Karel Fraeye was still manager and we were in 23rd place with one game to play and 4 points adrift of staying up.DennisBooth said:
I don’t have a problem with him wearing his heart on his sleeve. I like managers to be passionate. To help him you can surround yourself with calmer people.golfaddick said:
So NJ's hissy fit after the match on Wed was premature & unnecessary.DDOUBLEE said:

Great we have a cool & calm manager who doesn't throw his toys out of the pram at the first sign of trouble.....🙄Why guess what he is talking about and worry? He’s the manager - it’s his problem with what goes on - if he wants to have “a strop” so what? He’s done it for a reason. Seriously, do we have a really have the right to know every thing that goes on? Do we need to get answers immediately? No we don’t. People pay their money to support the team - if you don’t like the way it goes - don’t go to games - save your money. …And certainly don’t have a melt down at every opportunity. What’s the point in stressing it? We all want Charlton to do well. But it’s Charlton - it’s not Real Madrid.I don’t understand why you have to be so fucking negative all the time. Why not enjoy where we are at right now? We could be playing Accrington away tomorrow.43 -
No it was only a joke based on what other people have said, but probably more realistic than the 100pages debate we get on players that havent been linked witharny23394 said:
People aren’t actually being serious when they say this are they? There’s more chance of us signing Scott Wagstaff.2121 said:Nwaneri loan?1 -
Brighton won't be coming back for him in this window. I know the guy who was involved in scouting him for Brighton and he said that they've opted to sign a young lad from Blackburn instead. They still rate him highly so wouldn't rule it out in future, particularly if he kicks on this season (whether that is with us or out on loan in League One).LargeAddick said:
I’d agree with this, Mbick needs a years loan somewhere for more experience, cameos here and there in the Championship won’t help his development much and he isn’t ready to be considered as a starter. I’d caveat that by saying now he’s proved his fitness and recovery from injury I still wouldn’t rule out Brighton coming back in.DubaiCAFC said:With Jones wanting 3 I reckon we might bring another forward in, and send Mbick on loan to league one.
I remember Chris Locke raving about how highly rated Micah is by all the coaches at the club (NJ included) so I think he probably will stick around this season, probably not as a starter but off the bench.10 -

I'm not being negative I was simply posting that on Wed evening everyone on here was in despair due to NJ post match comments......but now things don't seem that bad as both Burke & Billy could be back much sooner than we thought.Brownie12 said:

I really think some of you are not great on comprehension or (as I think is more likely) look at who the poster is & immediately turn on them. Ronnie is the most "put opon" on here, and I seem to not be far behind him.
I just take a different slant in things than most people. I am not a yes man and dont follow the crowd. And I call a spade a spade, even if it might go against the grain on here.

Anyway, back to the football. If Jones doesn't get it right, we'll be for the high jump without a paddle.8 -
Unreal numbers, albeit in the Spanish second division.
No idea where this has come from, but seems an extremely random name to throw out if it’s just been completely made up by someone? 😅
Someone pointed out that the geezer has played for Santander tonight and the bloke says he presumes it’s because it’s rushed because of the JRS deal falling through but terms have been agreed and a medical is due regardless. We’ll see I guess!0 -

So do we have 3 left backs then in Edwards, Bell and Mesik? I assumed Mesik would cover cb as well as we don’t need 3, surely?Garrymanilow said:
No, but Billy has a history of injuries, we're clearly not confident about playing Mesik or Bell at CB in a 4, Collins is likely to be out for the season and Burke can't be relied on so I'd still expect him to be playing a lot of football. Lloyd also really could have done with being left out at points last season to recover so having a CB who is comfortable on the right or left and could realistically take the shirt off one of the others is a great spot to be in. Wouldn't be that surprised if he got in and kept Billy out based on how highly rated he isTeeC said:So if we play a back 4, Bindon is not a guaranteed starter if Billy is basically fine0 -
