Crazy. It takes an incredible level of incompetence to leave a manager in all summer, then sack him 1 week after the window closes. And after just 5 games, when teams are just settling into the season.4

It must be pretty gloomy being a Preston fan. A nicely redeveloped ground, but on the pitch, so little success. Relegated from the top flight in 1961, and have never been back.
3 times in the Championship playoffs in the 2000s, yet never made it to the PL, unlike a stack of other Lancs clubs like Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, Oldham. Plus other nearby middling clubs like Bradford and Huddersfield, and indeed Hull.4 -
