I wouldn’t want him, but Ogbene to Lincoln is a pretty good move for them.
A rather condescending remark. "He is nowhere good enough for us, but a good signing for them."  I hope our respective positions in the table at end of season justify your attitude.

We’re a better team than Lincoln looking at improving on just survival. Of course a good signing for them might not be good for us.

It'll never happen under Jones but I'd also deregister Brooks and bring in another striker but there you go

So you're getting rid of Doc, Knibbs, Asiimwe, and Apter? Adding in a new CM and a new RW?

Also, given he didn't make the bench for Spurs, I expect Fullah to either go out on loan or he's injured.

I think we keep Knibbs, and the only addition tomorrow is a RW. Then we (lovingly) get rid of Doc, Asiimwe, Fullah, and Apter.

I think a striker rather than a CM personally.

Leaburn has to be managed, Godden can’t be relied upon for many games at this stage of his career, Mbick is promising but unproven, and Kelman needs to prove his shoulder is ok.

IF an upgrade is available I can see Knibbs being loaned to help him get his mojo back. Surely Fullah will be going out on loan as well. The squad looks so much better balanced than in previous seasons.

That's what the emergency GK loan rule is in place for.

I just think a 24 year old third choice keeper taking up a squad space is pointless, personally. Unfortunately our academy keepers aren't up to scratch

We play one up front.  Leaburn has started well, Kelman will be back soon, so that's the main two competing for starts.

Godden may be out a while, but then Mbick will be 3rd choice for the one spot, and Grant can play up top too albeit that's not the plan.

We don't need a 5th/6th striker for one spot over a 3rd keeper for one spot.  Especially when Mannion has already been injured this season.

Reams claiming on the other forum that we are still trying for Rak Sakyi but might have to settle for a loan.

Don’t know how true this is but would be the best possible thing for us as it avoids all the agent bollocks at least temporarily while we still get the player for the season. Really hope it’s true.
thats not actually the quote but if it does happen it would be a good window

Is it that much of a concern when there's the emergency loan option? I'd probably rather that than Brooks having to play a run of games anyway.

But the quality of an emergency loan is going to be...probably not good.

They'd have more experience than Brooks.

“Still trying for Jesrun but might have to settle for a loan if it happens at all.

This should help us bypass the agent issue because to my nowledge they don't usually receive a direct commission or cut from a temporary loan fee.”

    Isn’t it?

They'll probably have played at a higher level than the National League at some point though

I don't disagree, like you said, I just don't see NJ doing that, I'd rather just have the third choice GK be the U21's goalkeeper tbh

Any Greg Halford-esque players who can play CB, CM and ST all in one?

Wonder if Homes Under The Hammer will let us take Dion Dublin on loan for the season?

A RW has to be signed tomorrow, know Jones wants another one in but really not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen we’re well covered.

If we can offload someone and replace them like for like who’s a step up in quality then we should 100% do it but that is asking a lot on deadline day
  • I’d be tempted to get Conor Coady in the door as a player / coach personally. Reckon he’d do an excellent job mentoring the likes of Mwamba, Fullah and others.
I believe Coady is already earmarked to go into the media, pretty sure I read he’s been training / qualifying for a role in that space.
Charlton has always been a good base for the latter part of players careers whilst they start in the media. John Barnes, Mark Bright, John Salako to name a few

if a player is unregistered are we able to send them on loan outsides of the window, as I think you can do with free contracts (Im guessing probably not)?.

It won't happen under any Premier or Championship team to have only 2 keepers registered.
