And the second biggest is that Coventry just isnt all that good 😆Leuth said:The biggest argument for signing Skipp is that playing Coventry every single game sort of broke him a bit and he wasn't the same player until he recovered. It's such a high-intensity position and a bit of rotation isn't a bad idea3 -
I think the player that Leicester fans really disliked was Harry Winks and because they both came from Spurs Skipp got tarred with the same brush.
Don't forget they sold a lot of their best players after relegation from the Prem and Vardy was showing his age.4 -
Hope FM is accurate in the case of Skipp, basically rated as better version of Coventry/Docherty, including being a good pro.I can't see NJ bringing in a player with a bad attitude. Not every move works out, but Leicester are a mess and their fans will be angry that they spent over £20m on him, gave him a long contract and got relegated twice in a row.
If he can get back to somewhere close to the level he was at Spurs then we'll have a much better player than we'd usually be able to sign.12 -
Yep same here. Was very naive of me to base my opinions off of Leicester fans, who have been on a downward spiral and a mess for a few years now. Didn’t realise he was only 25 either. Seems like one of those players that’s been around forever.BigDiddy said:Looks like I need to eat some humble pie, going after Skipp based on what heard about goings on at Leicester.
If Oliver has signed, Welcome and i will hope he does brilliantly for us.Arrogant of me to judge him before he’s even put the Charlton shirt on. Hopefully we can get the best out of him and get his career back on track.4 -
Leicester were rumoured to be selling midfielder Louis Page to Man United but that deal is off. Wonder if that helps get a Skipp deal done?1

I'd take the Norwich Skipp, let alone the Spurs Skipp!Scoham said:Hope FM is accurate in the case of Skipp, basically rated as better version of Coventry/Docherty, including being a good pro.I can't see NJ bringing in a player with a bad attitude. I hope so, given that we’ve been building a struggling championship side for an awfully long time.SOTF said:Desperately hope to be wrong, but in my humble opinion, Skipp is the antithesis of everything we’ve been building.1 -

Imagine the next step for the Addicks is to secure the striker on new terms. Had previously been the subject of an offer from Brighton in the January transfer window.15 -

It really reinforces the notion that there's something about him. I think he's going to be worth a lot more one day, and that one day isn't that far off.21 -
Have to say, fair play to the owners for rejecting some serious bids for Mbick36

for a second I thought you might be serious!Alwaysneil said:

£5m for Mbick?, fuck me that would pay for JRS….. oh hang on😬1

Very happy to see we’re happy to knock back bids of 7mil.
In previous years we’re here now with TC / Lloyd / Ramsay running out their deals and Mbick on his way to Southampton.13 -
Credit to the owners who could have easily see that as a way to recover some of the loses and cashed in.8

So far…fenaddick said:Have to say, fair play to the owners for rejecting some serious bids for Mbick2 -
They would need to double that in my opinion to have a shout of getting him. Cheeky bid from a promotion rival to try and unsettle our players now that they can't spy on them anymore.2

Tell you what, throw in Scienza or Fellows and we'll think about it12

But but but, the club is stink/owners want to sell/want to cash out (delete depending on your issue with the club)fenaddick said:#cafc have turned down a bid from Southampton for Micah Mbick - first reported by @natashaeveritt7.
