I thought Mbick needed a league one loan tbh, doesn't look up to it (yet) imo9
-
Should have seen that coming from Southampton...1

Found out tonight Estoril blocked a move for Jordan Holsgrove today. Player and agent fuming and arguing with the club. Not sure yet if it was us but he was in London the other day. Maybe we moved onto Skipp, or it was someone like a QPR.52

For everyone's sake I hope so. Not seen anything myself that warrants it.SDAddick said:
Wow. That's a huge offer to turn down. Good for the club.fenaddick said:#cafc have turned down a bid from Southampton for Micah Mbick - first reported by @natashaeveritt7.

Imagine the next step for the Addicks is to secure the striker on new terms. Had previously been the subject of an offer from Brighton in the January transfer window.
It really reinforces the notion that there's something about him. I think he's going to be worth a lot more one day, and that one day isn't that far off.

Even if it's Southampton...5 -
Checked Winks in FM, he's had his work rate, determination and professionalism decreased, while Skipp hasn't.Starinnaddick said:I think the player that Leicester fans really disliked was Harry Winks and because they both came from Spurs Skipp got tarred with the same brush.
Don't forget they sold a lot of their best players after relegation from the Prem and Vardy was showing his age.2 -
Have saints been spying on Mbick in training and he’s been good?, because I haven’t seen a £7m pound player in him yet. Admittedly I must be really missing something with him.🤷🏻♂️6
-
If Southampton are bidding £7m now then Mbick will be worth double that once he starts scoring a few goals20
-
That's a lot of cash for Mbick... If we can squeeze a bit more I'd sell him and splash a bit. Surely we must have a list ready to go1

Wonder if they’ll come back with another offer….realistically if we were going to sell him, what would be an acceptable offer? I think we’d be crazy not to accept £10m+ and they obviously have money….1
-
Agreed. He would probably only have to score one goal or two to exceed £10m nowsam3110 said:
£5m in Jan, £7m now, if he plays between now and December and gets a goal or two, he'll be worth at least £10m next Janns9 said:If Southampton are bidding £7m now then Mbick will be worth double that once he starts scoring a few goals3 -
Wants a pay day. I see no benefit from Mbick’s career moving right now. He will play a fair bit for us as things stand.J BLOCK said:Heard his agent has been pushing hard for a move for him.

To the bed wetters and happy clappers who are battling with each other over the signing of Skipp...

You wonder how so many fans of ours are coming out with ‘should have bitten their hands off for 5 mill’ but clubs like Southampton and Brighton are after him, should all apply for roles scouting at their clubs seem to know more than them!10

Makes sense if it was us & why we suddenly have gone for Skipp.stjohnshill said:Found out tonight Estoril blocked a move for Jordan Holsgrove today. Interesting timing to make an offer. We have no chance to get a replacement.
Done to unsettle him and then make a new bid in Jan?

Sure Nathan took great pleasure in telling Southampton where to put their offer for Micah15

10 mill and a pair of binoculars15

Someone had to say it. I can see that looking very silly come the end of the season, all going well with his fitness and if he puts the work in.golfaddick said:

Bonkers turning that down imo.
We're not in the year 2000 any more, one good season and he'll be worth £15m+. A sale or two like that is how we'll really grow our budget and compete for bigger and better signings.15 -
Don’t think he wants to be here. Hopefully our move before Southamptons next. To put into context, Millwall getting double that amount for Azeez who was one of the best attackers
in the league last year. Mbick scored a few gials
in league two and in the cup against the paper mills. Like the clubs ambition but sometimes you need to know when a deal should be done.10 -
People wonder why we're not progressing as a Football club, not spending money at this level blah blah blahThen when we get poultry offers for our kids, wonder why we're rejecting such bids14

Got to start playing regularly & be given the ball.ns9 said:If Southampton are bidding £7m now then Mbick will be worth double that once he starts scoring a few goals

£7m is a drop in the ocean in this league nowadays, Wrexham dropped that on a squad midfielder today19

Doesn’t mean that at all. Southampton have the sort of money to spend on potential, likely end up ok loan for a few yearsSteveACS said:
