Good god we have some miserable fucking fans.
Did you not watch that game for 90 mins?

I've got a colonoscopy next week - it's gonna be more enjoyable looking at the inside of my arse on a TV screen than what we watched then.
I watched a patched together team get a poing with 9 first team players out through injury.

It was not pretty but I’m not going to chuck myself off a bridge having got 11 points already this year.
Who’s the 9 players who come back into that first team?
    Into the squad?

    Billy
    kellman
    Godden
    chalobah
    danny
    bfk
    mannion
    edwards

All get back in the first team match day squad

    I’m struggling for the 9th
So we weren’t missing 9 first team players then.

Just wait until Mannion is back, he'll sort us out.

Genuinely what did you expect him to do? Take the game to in form QPR with literally half our squad out injured.

    pack it in
You do know QPR have got as many injuries as we have?

Jones hasn't covered himself in glory tonight with his tactics and not changing things earlier.
And QPR have spent years in this division building their squad whereas we're still pretty fresh back and have a team that's largely been built this summer then ravaged by injuries.

This is the latest I could find for their injuries... Some of those played today - So I disagree they have as many as us.
Blimey, I don’t think I’ve seen I.Chair since my kids were little and couldn’t reach the table…

    Awful......just awful.

Yes we defended well & stopped them from really troubling Okonkwo but jeez, we were the home side. Only real chance we had was the disallowed goal.......and that was the best through ball we've played this season.

And I thought thus season we were going to be more attacking.  NJ still doesn't trust any other winger than TC. We are so lopsided if there was a strong wind then everyone would fall off the left hand side of the pitch.

People will come on here & say a point's a point.....if you can't win the don't lose yadda yadda yadda. But this was a home game against a team that will finish mid-table. They were missing Kone & Chair and we treated them like they were Man City.

    I expect a lot of lol's & be told I'm just a moaner. Meh.
    Predictable. Try harder

But they can't and that's the point. If a team have a weakness attacking you try to force them to play that way, that's how defensive tactics work

The only chance we created was a perfectly good goal. QPR didn’t manage that.

Wasn't great but proper Curbs attitude. Lose 4 nil make sure the next one's a clean sheet.
  • Dreadful game to watch - zero quality on display.

I'm sort of surprised by all the negativity. It wasn't a particularly fascinating watch but then it's not meant to be. We set up to defend well against a possession team who have started the season superbly and then catch them on the break with a sucker punch. Which we did, but it was disallowed. We also had a lot going for us when Leaburn had their defenders completely in his control but he had to go off injured. We then created another chance in behind but Grant was fouled with nothing given from the terrible ref. The reality is for all their possession QPR had one really good chance and that was created for them by Tyler Bindon. Okonkwo had nothing to do other than that and we mostly watched the ball sail harmlessly out of play. It doesn't really feel like last season where we were hanging on at times and desperately waiting for the whistle despite having about 50 defenders on the pitch, we feel much more controlled in our defending.
The real frustration is that we set up with two central midfielders who can pick a pass and mostly missed them out to send it long, even when Leaburn was off. The few times we let our midfielders get a foot on the ball we created our best chances through the middle and best used the pace in behind. I really hope we can figure out a way to start involving Skipp and Coventry more in games because it will make such a big difference.
Regardless though we're 5th after 6 games, 2 points off the top and if you take away the Stoke aberration we've got 5 points off the teams currently in 1st, 2nd and 4th. That's a pretty good start.
Finally, a comment that doesn't make me want to smash my head against a wall

Basically from your list we're missing: Ramsay or McNamara, Chalobah, Koumetio as First Team Players
As all of those nine (Mannion etc.) likely / possibly wouldn't necessarily have started tonight given the options that did start

What exactly was Mbick playing at? And why didn't we take the 7m? Maybe the laziest performance I've ever seen. Can't be picked again for a long long time, put literally any forward on instead

If we win on Saturday we’ll look back at this as a decent point, if we lose it’ll be part of a poor run.

Wasn’t the pretty watch, and I probably would have taken a point before kick off, but I did feel like we’d been transported back to last season with the manner we were playing.

People acting like QPR had 3 cleared off the line and hit the woodwork 5 times. The created fuck all other than an awful mistake from Bindon

Grant was on the pitch to be fair, could've gone up front as a counter attack option.

A point’s a point but fuck me, that was a hard watch. Good first 10minutes and then it was all downhill. We defended far too deep. There was no press and QPR just had the space and time to do what they wanted. We’re just lucky they had no real attacking guile. Any other team worth their salt would have buried us. Portsmouth next.. Here’s hoping for a much better performance and some attempts at goal

My guy - it’s all there in writing. You said we were missing 9 first team players.

Who are the 9 that go into our first team.

Our first team is the starting 11 players.
  • Happy with the point from that one. A real morale booster to keep a clean sheet after Saturday's roasting.

QPR are another good footballing side - including their bloody goalkeeper - but lack finishers at the moment. Our defenders will be over the moon with that performance. Skipp and Coventry deserve credit for their contributions tonight too.

The 'offside' call was a tight one, but TC had to adjust his run and 'went again' as the ball was passed which probably influenced the lino's call. Will have to have another look on the replays.

Hope Leaburn's injury is not too serious and that Kelman really is about to make a come back.

Of course it was a tough watch but they apparently had most of the possession against Middlesbrough too, and we are not fucking Middlesbrough.

Of course Binden made a bad mistake which could have been costly, but he is 21, hasnt been playing , and this was his 3rd in 7 days. I think he will turn out well.  Skipp is not up to speed either but I started to see what he can bring to the team. That turn and pass to TC for the “goal” was sublime, and I dont know who else we have who can do that. (Maybe Chalobah)

What amazes me is that we are already on page 3, loads of moaning, but no moaning at all about an offside goal that according to the CTV comms is clearly on. There clearly needs to be VAR for a decision like that. And I am also pissed off that I cannot see a replay from any other angle because of this shit deal with Sky.

God I hope Miles is ok. The injury thing is just horrendous. But it looks like its not just us. It looks to me like the quite ridiculous pressure to cram in games before a ridiculous 3 week break.
