No where in that post did I criticise either Coventry or Skipp. I merely pointed out that if you are going to play Chalobah then one of them has to drop out.
But you carry on with your agenda.
Perhaps we should all stop responding to you and you might stop.

Maybe its because I've been supporting this club for 50 years that I can remember the 80's & 90's where you were entertained & saw goalmouth action on s weekly basis.
I've been mulling things over during the night & I'm seriously thinking about packing it in. Grant couldn't go for the ball as he would've been offside so when Campbell was given offside, it was a case of the Ass ref not being able to distinguish between a black guy TC with dreadlocks and a mixed race man Karlan, with a cropped hair cut.
Really ! I can't see how that is possible in the pro game because a ref can't see from one side of the pitch to the another at the same time unless he has eyes in the back of his head.🤔
Does happen in part time and park football because of immobile Ass refs.
There was about 50 people around me shouting wrong man on the offside but they may just have been agreeing with me as I sounded adamant 🗣️0 -

Just read at least 2 other posts like that in the past where he’s threatening to leave the site due to other people’s opinions of his posts, only for him to post another whiny message the following week.

I don't think Alli should start games, as with all 3 "experienced" wingers on the pitch, we had no sub winger to bring on yesterday other than the raw Nkeng, who would be a risk defensively, when you look at the amount of tracking back our current forwards do.
The Knibbs situation is getting ridiculous. I don't especially rate him BUT last season, the one thing he did do was come off the bench to score crucial goals or create chaos. He's a nuisance in the penalty box, and a goal threat when you're lumping the ball in or have corners.
Indeed when you're lumping it in, he's far more of a threat than Kelman, who yesterday looked a bit lost out there.
I've been really impressed with Okonkwo's handling, the calmness he brings to the defence as he so often is able to catch shots hit at him, rather than just pushing them away into danger. I'd be really keen to make his move permanent, as he's clearly our undisputed No 1 now. NJ's digs at Kaminski feel a bit unnecessary. If a player is disappointing, then part of the blame surely lies at the people who signed him anyway.8 -
Exactly. Leaburn, Campbell and Grant when knackered are still better players than Knibbs, Carey, Rankin-Costello, etc. when fresh. We are lumbered with a batch of inferior players we brought in summer before last. However, I would still have made subs sooner to protect Grant and Leaburn. We would be lost without them for a prolonged spell.Alwaysneil said:Jones didnt make any subs because he thought the players on the pitch, even though knackered, were more likely to score/less likely to concede than changing the shape slightly with players from the bench.
he just doesnt trust Knibbs, Rankin-Costello, Carey, Mwamba, Ouma, Nkeng to not fuck up of given 20-30 mins.I have some sympathy with that but would probably have taken grant and alli off sooner.1 -
There will be more interest though, not saying how much, but believe it or not, there are people that have to consider costs and can’t afford the current prices to watch football live, I personally think that’s a shame.oohaahmortimer said:

Why the f**k was he signed then? And don't give me bollocks about being for the future, he's on the bench, he's not playing for the U21s today. He was meant to be the next best option after the Rak-Sakyi deal fell through, and he's yet to even make an appearance. We are suffering immensely without having a right wing option. I don't expect any answer from NJ as all we get is silly jokes about cats and how bad refs areAlwaysneil said:Jones didnt make any subs because he thought the players on the pitch, even though knackered, were more likely to score/less likely to concede than changing the shape slightly with players from the bench.

Haven’t seen a replay of the pen shout, however if it wasn’t, then that makes me pretty disappointed in Leaburn because that means he was free to put the ball away, in turn meaning he needs confidence in his ability. It looked like a push whilst he was looking up at the ball and would have done well to know someone was going to push him such was his concentration on the ball, which is why IMO I thought it was a pen.0

Golfie
Dont go mate dont let the bullies see you off. I find your views are one of the honest and realistic here and to the point as you see it, I have read most of the posts here and you would think by some of them it was a goal fest of 5-5 draws, not the bore fest the last 2 games have been. There were a lot of frustrated fans around me yesterday.
I had it for years on the political threads and note some of the same are giving you stick. I wouldn't have it and they hated that i stood my ground against them.

Yes agree, hang in golfie, there are some on here with very high opinions of themselves, apparently I sounded like a knob last week by one of them, because I stupidly reacted to someone , with a few agreeing because I didn’t tow the line. That’s fine because that type of stuff is why these places are called sesspits.i don’t always agree with you, but Keep having you’re opinion if people don’t like it and have to be abusive, that says more about them and they’re little clique of mates.👍Chippycafc said:Golfie

Agreed - jrs would have been absolutely perfect to add that x factor / provide that bit of unscripted maverick play that we need, particularly at home. Our football was good in the first half but predictable. We went off script once and into Leaburn's feet and he spun and put somebody in - it was noticeable because we don't normally do it - i can count probably half a dozen times in the last 2 years we've done that - 'going inside and putting the ball at risk' is what NJ would consider that but that's partly because we don't have the players with the touch and awareness to be able to trust playing those balls to - low risk football, its served us well but we have to add those players to get to the 'next level'.oohaahmortimer said:We’re much improved on last seasons dross but we’re missing that X factor (JRS may have provided)
There’s no real spark, proper graft , 100% effort and can’t knock them for trying .
We should stay up but just like this time last season I’ll be looking down not up because we offer limited goal threat.
I like Skipp and he has a touch of class about him .

Golfie, you are narcissist and you love people responding to your views even though you are predictable with your negative Stance but you are entitled to your opinions like the rest of us.
You will also be correct on some occasions as we do fail to achieve our goals or score our goals.
I find it really embarrassing when a poster says they are going to leave Charlton Life 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏼♀️
I know we all have ego's, I certainly do, but no one cares if I go AWOL or any other poster by choice. If they pass on then we pay our respects.
I would expect you to like this post Golfie as it's about you.6 -
Sometime think that people just need to remember that if you air your views out loud especially on a message board such as this... Then yes you're entitled to your opinion... But I've always seen it as an invitation to open debate into that opinion... Regardless if its criticism or whether its out of blind positivity... Yes it should never get abusive, but if I have an opinion I dont want to argue with people over... I simply keep it to myself10

Nevertheless I used a sharp tone there because his remark is exactly an example of what is bugging me. It implies that if I just fall into line and subscribe to Sky, I will get what I am asking for. But even if I bowed down and paid my dues to the Sky money machine I still would not get the coverage we all should expect, the old Charlton TV package which was tailored to our interests as committed Charlton fans.
Anyway I see ,thanks to @Dansk_Red post above, that Sky have now kindly permitted the Club to replace the 2 minute package they had up last night with a 10 minute one which shows the incident. And I'm looking at a clear penalty, whereas some dork in the EFL's Osterley "superstudio" in his dubbed -after-the-event commentary, doesn't think so. But does not then go on to ask why the ref didn't book Miles for simulation.

golfie is right with a lot of what he says but gets stick as he doesn't put it in the context of where nj has taken us from and our budget and the monster league we are in and all that other 'stuff' - a lot of me agrees with golfie though - its a shame that in the second tier, a division we were always comfortable in and always managed to put out attacking attractive teams even when skint that we now have to be so thankful for a dull, defensive style. It is what it is and the alternative is worse but it would be nice to go to the valley and see some free flowing football and goals. We're evolving, lets hope we evolve some more, quickly.4
