I think Okonkwo’s kicking is the least of our problems and even then if that’s the poorest part of his game I’ll take it.sam3110 said:Crap, backwards football when we actually had it, Bindon is a dud, as is Skipp, Jones makes an error and it costs the first goal, Leaburn not in the game at all or is getting kicked in the head with nothing given, Greedy Grant doesn't pass to TC, when Bindon did we scored, but then we stick TC LWB for 25 mins and he's too busy having to track back to cover out of position defenders, Coventry stands off the man for the third, Alli was so bad he was hauled off at half time, Mcnamara got a stupid yellow card again, and the less said about Okonkwo's kicking the better.
Ouma passes the ball like it's a grenade and he's trying to get it as far away as possible, Carey spent his 10 minutes on the pitch falling over, Kelman can't stay onside, Bell looks spent every time I see him.
At least Josh "The Shark" Edwards is back.
Bug 3 weeks ahead now, need no injuries to players on international duty, and need Jones to pick from his squad and work on a way to create more per 9014 -
Plenty of good football players but not one has a brain.I would have them in tomorrow watching this game and stoke game on a loop.Wank performace all round2
-
Agreed, that was crap.
NJ was out thought, everytime Cardiff defended a set piece, they left 2 or 3 players up, we left none as usual.
Far too many poor individual performances. TC looked sharp at times, but died away and looked very down at the end.
Feeling very down myself just now, hoping that we get Koumatio and Challabah back after the break.1 -

Do you actually watch the games or do you just guess what happened ?RonnieMoore said:You can’t plan for individual mistakes Jones and Bindon third goal wins any game was excellent strike .. yet Grant makes it 2-2 and who knows .. I think we need to go back to our 352 away from home we are two open …. but now it really shows up the two poor ref decsions v QPR and Pompey …. But still have 12 points now we have time to get players back and be in a better place after the international break ..
Ouma done ok when he come on again Skipp and Coventry were very good but outnumbered at times .. good to see Kelman on the shoulder of the last defender that’s what we missed ..I think he does both, Beds.

Days like this feels like we're being had. Team of strangers and a facade of a football club. No cohesion on or off the pitch.LargeAddick said:
And owners looking to get out.sammy391 said:Poor football

Getting bored of the NJ bluster of evolution- we haven’t improved since this time last year, and wasted another years budget whilst we’re there! No goals in us, no grit either - we look like cannon fodder. Our home form is going to be HUGE this year!Unfortunately seems like everything in SE7 is falling apart - attendances down, dross in the kiosks & bars, club shop not at it, and the football recruitment and then the team floundering.
depressing9 -
You're right. But when they come back, how many games will we get out of them until they get injured again?mendonca said:Three points from 15 is disappointing, but it’s still a decent start to the season. Koumetio and Chalobah clearly formed a vital part of our early-season spine.Without them, and without last season’s set-piece specialists (Bree, plus the long throws from Clarke and Carey), we’re struggling to create chances.
Its completely pointless getting these players who are constantly injured no matter how good they are.4 -
Terrible performance from us, totally dominated from start to finish.

Last week NJ said we had a net spend of +1.5 mil this summer.
It bloody shows.8 -

But the decision was made, it’s neither Ouma or Skipps fault, we all knew we needed better than Doc,and the club have failed in doing that, the reasons we can all only guess, my guess was that we had very little dry powder we were willing to use, and I doubt the rumoured amount for JRS was anything like the actual amount being banded around. We’ve taken the gamble on injury prone players and two of the best players being missed the most are those cheaper options. Until the club take the championship seriously results like today will be more regular.DDOUBLEE said:
No, he's not the solution one bit. But I've not seen anything from Ouma or Skipp to suggest they are better. Mwamba has been en completely dropped from the squad because he had a shaky game against West Brom which was still nowhere near as bad as Ouma and Skipp todaySword65pf said:
Who is Doc playing for at the moment? Loved his effort but he isn’t what we are missing with all due respect.Chunes said:
We have no midfield with or without Docherty. He was not the answer and unfortunately, it looks like his replacements aren't either.LittleAddick said:By no means is Docherty the answer, but we were a little arrogant to presume we had a good enough squad to let him go for free.5 -

Yeah I’ve been talking about Okonkwo’s kicking virtually since he signed and even I don’t think it’s in the top 20 things to moan about today. He wasn’t given any options at allLargeAddick said:

'Ouma will come good'. Were you a Charlie Kirk fan? None of the injured players are attacking midfielders which is where our main problem lies ( and right wing). Our defence may be better without Bindon but that is all.superdulvertonred said:We were poor but still a solid start to the season. We have players to come back and others that will get back up to speed during the break that will improve us. Don’t know why but also feel Ouma will come good. Can’t believe the over reaction of some on here COYR0 -
Thought it was just me.Dazzler21 said:Personally didn't think we were nearly as bad as people are making out.
We had good opportunities to score. They have have a good XG this season and they showed why. They're all willing to have a go - Which luckily we had Okonkwo or it'd have been more.
For me I'd have preferred we tested one of our own youth defenders than taking on one that everyone else thought would be the shit. Because he's just shit.
Pretty emphatic and universal reaction on here but I thought we were in it at least. Grant scores/squares to TC and we could have got a smash and grab 2-2.
I still believe this team is not a million miles away from being decent Championship standard but it needs Billy and Chalobah back for starters.Let’s see where we are after the break.
At least we built that cushion to afford us the luxury of a rough patch.4 -
At game. Thought that was a worrying performance. Could’ve been 5/6.
We dropped a bollock not signing a proper centre mid who can dominate the centre of the park with guile.
Skipp and Coventry for all their work can’t affect the game going forward so we lurch backwards.Very poor showing9 -
Dean kiely’s kicking never bothered me, neither will Arts, least of our worriesfenaddick said:

Yup. Up until today I was willing to defend the last 4 games and appreciate the heavy schedule, injuries etc, but that’s out the window now after an absolutely spineless performance from a group of players who look atrocious on the ballCAFC_boi said:Good start massively papering over the cracks. That was absolutely diabolical. AGAIN. Summer window looking an absolute flop so far. Need huge improvement after the international break. Seriously pissed off. AGAIN!!
where do you start? Desire and professionalism is the very least you can expect and we got none of that today, the players weren’t up for it. After that you ask that they can find a man with a simple ball into feet. We couldn’t do that. We look so bad with the ball that I would actually say we’re massively out of depth at this level. Somehow every team we play against seems to be more comfortable with the ball than us.After that, you’ve then got to ask why we sit so deep and invite play onto us all the time. I know it’s worked previously, but it’s like we think we’re suddenly this elite Italian defence replica and can suck up huge amounts of play and get away with it.Then you’ve just got a lot of poor performances across the pitch. We are so weak in the middle of midfield. Coventry and Skipp cut through easily and often, no pace, no aggression. Mesik, Alli and Ouma are not up to this standard and we’ve shot ourselves in the foot again re: bringing in players that aren’t good enough. He’s had to play every game, but after today, you look at Grant and it’s starting to look like we’ve got him just at the time in his career he’s on the way down. He was awful.Sums up how bad it is when we start the second half with TC back at LWB, the issue that we were trying to rectify all of last season.I think NJ is about to get found out now and we have very little room for maneuver. He doesn’t fancy the likes of Knibbs or now Carey it would seem (I don’t blame him), but TC Grant and Alli aren’t good enough at this level. The midfield 2 of Cov and Skipp simply aren’t commanding, strong, fast or good enough on the ball, which leaves us on a wing and a prayer with Chalobah and Mwamba given injuries and age. McNamara to his credit has been largely solid and at least he fights, and hopefully with Edwards, Ramsey and Koumetio back at some point the defence will seem a tad more resolute, but as for the rest of them, bar TC, it’s going to be a long hard season
lose against B City and I can potentially see it being the beginning of a run that could expose NJ and give the board some questions to answer
that was completely unacceptable in every department and although it’s horrible to go into the break with a defeat and no win in 5, the thinking time it gives NJ is about the only positive I can see, plus another few weeks eating into the injuries of Koumetio/Ramsay etc
the big worry is that we simply look awful on the ball, and I don’t see who/how that changes9 -
A long list of terrible performances so I have to narrow that down to the most abject. Alli, Coventry, Bindon, Ouma and star of the absolute stinkers was Grant for me. We had a chance of 2 all. All he had to do was make an easy pass to Campbell rather than shoot and he shot. Typically.1

I'm surprised people are surprised, despite the 12 points we have not looked good enough all season.6

Moylan looked a class above everyone else on the pitch, cost them roughly what Kelman did us 12 months prior.11

He has no left foot and the defenders should know that when they pass back . Bindon twice passed the ball to his left foot in the first half but as you say that’s least of our worries.fenaddick said:
