Alexander played for Preston for a long time and the club must still be very close to his heart. However, Bradford are flying and look like a club well on the up whereas Preston have been on the slide for a while.fenaddick said:Looks like Graham Alexander might be off to Preston’s soon

Preston has a decent squad of players, I rate Alexander very highly (if he's treated right by the directors) and he could get the very best from the squad and start to greatly improve performances right away.
Bradford will find it difficult to replace a manager of Alexander's ability, but if they can come close, I reckon they'll be in the Championship next season0 -
Paul Heckingbottom is available

He's played for Bradford, and his assistant at Preston was Bradford legend Stuart McCall!1 -

Perhaps the connection with Preston and Alexander is similar to Powell and us?Lincsaddick said:

That would go somewhere to explaining the move. An increase in salary as well methinks.1 -
Rumour up here is that Burnley had approached Alexander as well.

Yeah, but you can’t comment on professional football because you haven’t played at the top level.Bedsaddick said:

Robbie Savage linked with the Peterborough job.
(Savage’s go to statement whenever anyone who didn’t play at his level says anything about football that he disagrees with)1 -

Savage will end up ruining a few of those young players confidence and hurt their career. Think it’s a really poor appointment from Peterborough if it happens.0
-
Savage had a big budget at Forest Green yet he brought mates from his previous club who aren’t up to it and they’ve gone backwards.Could be a disaster for Posh

Hartlepool United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Pete Wild as First Team Head Coach.
The 42-year-old will take charge at Victoria Park alongside Dave Conlon, who joins Pools as Assistant Head Coach.

Savage to Posh confirmed. All their fans I know are absolutely fuming1
-
Interesting that Ryan Harley, who's followed Luke Williams around for a few years, is staying at Posh as Savage's assistant.
I suppose the big question is which month Fergie junior will return. I'm going for March.1 -
I've never liked DMac but he seems to have totally lost the plot in the recent seasons.5
-
I'll be surprised if this makes Christmas. DMac will probably threaten to sell the club for about the 5th time too0

Gateshead have sacked manager Lee Cattermole following a poor run of results in the National League.
Assistant manager Martin Smith has also left the club, who sit bottom of the league with just four points from their opening 12 games this season.

Lucky to fall upwards after an average spell at Wycombe, though was unlucky to be sacked by Huddersfield. I guess it was his relative success at a local club that got him the Bradford job.clive said:Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Duff as the club’s new first-team manager at Mbanq Valley Parade.

Oh the money ran out ages ago. They owe the local council a lot of money and there was the botched investment with some Canadians he ended up having to pay backSwisdom said:

Looks like Luke Williams might go to Forest Green, so basically ends up as a job swap but with Williams getting a pay off and FGR getting compensation.0
