    Bust out the Cucurella song!
  • What the absolute!!!
  • We are irresistible going forward. Continuing on from the third place play off…..

Imagine Terry Ferdinand etc in this team

Palace knobend. We will really struggle to win a tournament with a back 4 that includes Guehi, Konsa & O’Reilly.
I think O'Reilly is a quality player but our central defensive options are pretty poor right now.

When you think back to the likes of Terry, Rio, Sol Campbell, Tony Adams we have no one of that quality right now.

Having said that, Spain don't look much better defensively than us here.
  • Such a shame for Kane though, did so well to get that effort out of his feet

Despite the horrid defending this is the best I’ve seen us go forward, pretty much ever.

We’re playing the best side in the world and doing this.

Imagine if we’d played like this against Argentina

Weve done more against Spain in 40 mins than Argentina did in 120.

They’re a bit rattled by how we’ve attacked them you have to say
  • Impressive turnaround from us, we look very good going forward.
  • Spain have had a few opportunities, but we equally deserve that lead

    Who’s Terry Ferdinand?

  • We do need a few class Defenders to come through from somewhere

I will applaud the next manager who ditches pissing about with the ball & tells the players to just pass it upfield.

I'm sure football was better years ago. It doesn't have to be hoof ball but there must be a middle way where the defenders give it to the midfield/ wingers & they advance with it.
It's been a cracking game. If you don't like this, you don't like football!

This should have been the world cup final
  • Fantastic half of football. Great attacking and pressing from England.

    The defence though...
  • This Spain side conceded just 1 goal in 8 games at the World cup.

8 goals in our last 3 halves of football against France and Spain. Not bad going.

Great game……plus no one diving or rolling about in feigned injury.

I’d like to see a bit more detail on what the Spanish goalkeeper was doing just before our first goal.
He seemed to be seriously out of position. Did he actively make the decision to be so far upfield or did he have a bit of a concentration lapse?

Great game but agree we do look dodgy at the back. We also look good going forward, next goal vital.

Hmm. Tough one that. Feels lazy from Rodri but there’s not a lot of contact.

I don’t trust Kane like I used to from the spot.
  • lol at the bald guy doing a Harry Clarke early celebration behind the goal
