People who try to take over and organise everything, but in reality, couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.

This. Particularly if they know nothing about whatever they’re trying to do and don’t listen to people that do. It used to annoy me massively but nowadays I just walk away knowing they’re going to fuck it up and think ‘good luck to them’.

NHS / doctors. Been on and off to the doctors for a year with a pain in the hip, finally diagnosed as a dodgy tendon, and the answer was a steroid injection, waited two months and today’s the day, 30 minutes late going in, asked do I know why I’m there, yes. Where the pain, showed him, well a steroid injection won’t work there. Get examined again they can’t find the problem, go back and see your doctor and start over again.

Don’t get me wrong I’m pleased I didn’t get an injection that wasn’t necessary, but to restart all over again is very annoying. Now got to wait to the original doctor who will order more X-rays / scans etc., so will probably be another year of limping and my wife moaning that I can’t keep up with her and having to stop ever 1500 steps.

Sorry about whinging but well down at the moment.

Same. In the last few months (work and personal life) I do just that. Give them enough rope to hang themselves and when they ask for help or moan about it etc I give very little response.

Same thing happened to my wife with her foot. Several referrals, appointments, day of the injection, nope, we can’t do that. Back to square one. Having worked in that field with data, I can tell you they do not link data, all different systems and don’t communicate. Not that that’ll come as a shock to you.

When people confidently state something on social media, and you think "That doesn't look right". So you do a search, a thorough search, and cannot find any evidence whatsoever of their claim. You find out what actually happened and politely present them with the true version of events. They then come back and say "No, it definitely happened the way I claimed", without presenting any evidence to contradict your findings. So you show them your evidence, and they either disappear or just double down on their bullshit.
I think this is bang out of order.
I really do think @cantersaddick is having an extension despite your theory…

    Flight delays due to weather.
    It’s a bit windy apparently.
Is it windy at home? Is it feck.

The jet stream or any weather at any point between your departure point and arrival point could cause disruption to your flight but wouldn't be obvious.

Lol a thorough search would show the planning permission! I think that passes his test! 🤣🤣
  • I took my daughter and granddaughter to A&E at Darenth hospital and queued 40 minutes to get into the carpark!

Obviously they were able to hop out and join the queue in the hospital, but jeez quite a shock for those who are unaware of this state of play.  I dread to think how many appointments are lost.

FWIW I attended Darenth for myself recently and went by public transport.  The bus service from Dartford station is very good.  I was blissfully unaware of the parking problems at the time.

When I used to go there regularly I used to go past the first car park and right down to the other end. It was still a one out one in wait but seemed to have more space. It’s probably a year ago so they may have changed it.
I hope your daughter/granddaughter are ok

I’m guessing that’s why I’ve ended up with a bunch of different hospital/trust apps to log into. ‘My Chart seems to be covering my eye and arthritis. Another app ‘my skin doctor’ covers those appts. ‘My GP’ god knows what that does - similarly ’Patient knows best’. Where did that come from?
I look on the NHS one mainly but it does worry me that if I don’t keep up with technology I could be completely stuck and going to the GP surgery isn’t going to work.

Turns out it was a fault on the airplane and so had to find another.
Seems that they started with an excuse hoping they wouldn’t have to fork out compensation but had to admit the reality when the replacement plane was going to take hours 🙄🧐

Sitting having a cup of tea and trying to enjoy retirement when yet another bloody questionnaire comes through from the NHS wanting to know about my relationship with alcohol. If it’s not alcohol then it’s my height, weight and blood pressure. Sick of it. I’ve tried not replying but I get a stern message warning me that they won’t let me have my medication if I don’t. FFS

Which NHS Trust are you with? It sounds like bullying and is hardly conducive to good health.

I give up with MyChart and Patient Access. They give the impression they talk to each other but that's not my experience.

I think it comes under Dartford &Gravesham?
I agree it’s bullying. I was quite worried that they were going to stop my mood stabilisers etc. Mr Tatters went in and spoke to them. They told him to make a complaint and he did. They said they’d reply in 7 days and it’s been 18 months now. Many patients have the same no reply. He was going to put in a complaint about the complaint but there seems little point.

The numbers of cars driving around without front number plates on, presumably to avoid ANPR cameras- boils my piss!

That was the car park I waited at.

111 advised that my granddaughter needed checking after experiencing pain around the eye following a tooth infection. The Doctor advised it was sinusitus and not connected to the tooth problem - thankfully.

I have the My Chart app too which covers Guys, St Thomas's and kings College.  I've found it to be full of gobbledygook - a view shared by two other people I know.  I sort of ignore it.  The app that worked quite well 'Ask first' has been decommissioned at my GP surgery.

Tax Dodgers - so many people think it is ok to evade tax - some of them seem quite proud of the fact. When challenged the usual response is " everybody does it "
No everybody doesn't do it. It is actually a criminal offence. The same people then go on to complain about the government not doing anything about the NHS, Prisons, roads etc etc etc

I find MyChart fictitious more than anything.  I waited for a call at 3pm yesterday from Kings which didn't arrive. At 4pm MyChart had been updated saying that I had had a conversation with a nurse and my GP had been updated. Neither was true. Losing faith in it.

I haven't read the man city thread so it might of been mentioned in there but the absolute shite excuse some city fans and others have said about the owners and how they have rejuvenated the area around their commonwealth stadium.. the premier league has absolute no interest or jurisdiction how much money they have pumped into the area, they aren't interested in that.
They can invest in the area without having to cheat to win trophies on the pitch. if anything nearly everyone would be supportive of what they are doing to the area but stop using it as a way to show how good those owners are. It's got fuck all to do with the investment into the area around their stadium. It's just down to the cheating practices they have done to get round the rules they and every other team signed up to.

Mems shirts measurements.  Specifically,  if you were to draw me based on my shirt label you'd draw a man with an elongated wiry body and T Rex arms, rather than a normal bloke with a large neck

Ah don’t, the amount of them I open and there’s stuff in there then you’re left with the shit ones that don’t shut properly so you’re worried it’ll never be opened again
