Well its clear he wanst released purely for footballing reasonsAddicksi said:Doc was a limited footballer but gave everything he had, even playing on with a torn groin and helping us get over the line in the last couple of games in the previous season. To think he was released to be replaced by this character doesn't sit well with me.
Calm down Lyle.

I'm 90% certain loan contracts are legally only allowed to be terminated in transfer windows, there are FIFA regulations about this stuffElfsborgAddick said:1 -

I think going AWOL would be considered a breach of contract surely.9 -

Is he back in training with us?1

Cawley’s piece today made it sound like we were about to release a statement relating to Ouma but we wanted to double check everything before confirming anything. I’d say we’ll get rid at the earliest opportunity.2
-
Its complicated. In some versions of the universe he is at Sparrows Lane and in others he is in Kenya. The only way to check for sure is to look and the act of checking can influence the outcome. Ou Ma paradox, its quantum.
Sadly in both types of universe 50% of the time he plays forward looking skilful passes and the other 50% he has a shocker and gives a goal away, Ouma's Certainty principle.7 -
So what happens if it turns out he's had a valid reason to stay in Kenya and the club knew? Do we pretend the last few pages didn't happen?2

I hope that tongue in your cheek is not too uncomfortable.fenaddick said:So what happens if it turns out he's had a valid reason to stay in Kenya and the club knew? Do we pretend the last few pages didn't happen?0 -
Well if that’s the case NJ could have just said that when questioned about Ouma’s absence last weekend. He wouldn’t have had to give a reason as to why. But he didn’t did he? The opposite in fact.fenaddick said:So what happens if it turns out he's had a valid reason to stay in Kenya and the club knew? Do we pretend the last few pages didn't happen?5 -

He’d still be shit one way or another .fenaddick said:So what happens if it turns out he's had a valid reason to stay in Kenya and the club knew? Do we pretend the last few pages didn't happen?2 -
Last Saturday I got told he wasn’t answering his phone when the club tried to make contact with him during the week to find out where he was .
If the player is delayed for whatever reason the onus is on them to let the club know , whatever the situation.
Stick him in the rather full up bucket of another wasted signing .14 -

So as some know I work in the legal field mainly around cyber security and technology instead of employment law, however I can say with an almost 100% certainity being absent without notice or permission which causes the party to be unable to fulfill the required duties of a contract would be a breach of contractgringo said:

Maybe Charlton Athletic had not issued Timothy Ouma with a club telephone.
He might then have been stuck somewhere with a very slow and unreliable postal service, and his letter to the club is yet to arrive.14 -
Is this to say that last Saturday there had still been no contact from him?oohaahmortimer said:Last Saturday I got told he wasn’t answering his phone when the club tried to make contact with him during the week to find out where he was .

If so, an incredible piece of misconduct.5 -
Even if we can’t sell him very least we slap him with a hefty fine so all he’s wasted really is a squad spot1

It will be a breach, whether it's a sufficiently serious breach to mean they can cancel the contract and not eg pay any of the money they would otherwise owe is a different questionRadostanradical said:

And on this, probably been said (pwr) but given it was a known issue it should have been dealt with specifically so that they could walk away if this happened - pretty shoddy if notPeaksAndValleys said:

Exactly. It’s called the Charlton life affect,….. player isn’t good enough and needs to leave, he leaves and is remembered as Ronaldowmcf123 said:
He wasn’t good enough . The fact that some of the others aren’t either doesn’t contradict that.Radostanradical said:
He was 100% forced outfenaddick said:
I don't think Doc was necessarily forced out by Ouma. Skipp was signed after the Chalobah injury, after Ouma was signed and before Doc was released.Weegie Addick said:The difficulty in any debate here is that we forced out Doc
the other side of the Charlton life affect coin
weve signed the best player in the world, two months later - our recruitment is worse than oxfords!"Eugene's Axe"
