This is a section from the opening post in this thread.

'Upon completing his switch to south-east London, Ouma said: "I'm grateful to be here. I'll give my all and do my best to help the team achieve. I’m looking forward to seeing the supporters and hearing them cheer every tackle, every duel and every goal."

Manager Nathan Jones commented: "We’re delighted to get Timothy over the line. He’s a player that we’ve monitored for a long, long time and he comes with real good pedigree. He’s an athletic, technical midfield player who has had some good experience and he’ll add real quality to our midfield.”

Managing Director James Rodwell added: “We're delighted to bring Timothy to the club. He's a player we've admired for some time and someone who fits the profile we identified as we continue to move the squad forward. He brings athleticism, quality on the ball and a real presence in midfield, and we're looking forward to seeing him in a Charlton shirt.

"We've also secured an option to make the transfer permanent, subject to certain conditions, which puts us in a strong position should Timothy contribute in the way we expect him to."'

Sounds a bit different from the reality.

Anyone actually know if he’s back in the uk yet? Or is he still AWOL/sent home by CAFC?

Does anyone care ? He was absolutely dire anyway.  He’ll be competing with Alonso and Lepoint for midfield places in worst ever teams

Should have stuck a tracker on him when he set off the other week.

Still no news so presumably there's stuff happening in the background - but if he failed to return after the internationals this would, in the real world, be a fairly simple case of breach of contract and we should be able to terminate.  If we didn't put a clause in or it's not in the standard loan ts & cs then that's pretty amateurish on our part.  But seeing as it's football and it's a disciplinary matter he should be given the opportunity to explain and probably face a fine rather than get sacked.

The official FIFA rules state he has 48 hours from the end of the international window closing to return to his club as they play outside the UEFA zone (where it would be 24 hours).  There can be individual agreements made in some circumstances.

The FIFA window officially ended on 6th October so he should have been back by 8th at the latest.  I doubt if we will ever find out exactly what transpired.

“I’ll be back” looking unlikely in this case.

Can't wait for the day we sign someone and this word isn't the first one used by our manager to describe them.

Sick of this word being used too.

Could have at least edited it to say "The Timinator".

    Hopefully not
  • In addition to not being very good when he was on the pitch, I don’t think that he was popular with the squad. Every mistake was met with a team mate really laying into him. Other players make mistakes and get a pat on the shoulder and a quick lecture or nothing.

I really wanted him to do well here but unfortunately it’s not going to happen

No idea what has gone on but must be serious if we are presumably being allowed to de-register him and sign Solly March
