Kelman & Dykes to start, Leaburn on for Dykes last 10 - 15 minutes.DamoNorthStand said:
100pc this.Addick Addict said:With a view to next season, given we only need another two or three points to be safe and the poor form of TC, I would like to see NJ now use the final eight games to integrate Kelman as a first choice selection. Think it would do him the world of good and might enable NJ to use the matches to think how we might be a bit more pro-active going forward.
Kelman up top with either Leaburn or Dykes alongside him is the way to go.3 -
Not an exact comparison to be fair, as you have to look at their roles in the team, plus allow for penalty goals.fenaddick said:6 goals in 1310 minutes for Kelman and 7 goals in 2805 for Kone. Of course, Kone has been available more often but Kelman looks like he's adapting better to the league
I still think Kone would have fitted our team better, as he offers more physicality up front than Kelman. We're not a passing team, playing many clever through balls to strikers to run on to, but instead one where the strikers have to battle for the ball. NJ had to bring in Dykes in January to address that physical weakness.2 -
If he can get a run of games I’m sure he will provide a very good goal return0
-
I remember earlier in the season, someone posting that last season, most of his goals for Orient, were in the 2nd half of the season.
I think they said he had scored 4 goals from August - December?0 -
I had him down for 6 - 8 goals, for the season, up to Christmas, with Chef Weds shipping goals, I can see him wanting, and getting a hat trick against them.
Im revising my initial forecast to 10- 15 goals.

Will be happy with this, as me and the missus at the start of the season, picked 2 players to sponsor , him , and we also picked Kaminski, as well, never done shirt sponsorship before, but it’s a good laugh, seeing how it all pans out.
Looking forward to meeting them at the training ground next month, and having a slap up meal, ( better than Charlton hospitality).
I genuinely believe, this club is on the up, and it works out at a tenner a week, what’s that, 1 pint of beer a week? It’s nothing in the scheme of things.
Oh and you also get a framed signed shirt to boot, which is going up in the home gym wall, get in now before we get to the premier league!1 -
Don’t worry Henners, most will end up in the museum, when I’m gone, win, win!

Apologies if this has already been mentioned and discussed but does anyone else think he could do with shedding a few pounds? Just seems a bit "over" to me and wonder if he would be sharper if he did?6
-
As much he frustrates as I feel he should and can do a lot more - does anyone have any stats on goals to chances? I would imagine it is pretty high!3

His non penalty xG is 2.65 and he’s scored 4 non penalty goals. Really it’s too small a sample size to read too much into but it suggests he’s taking the few chances he’s given. I imagine that’s part of why we bought him given how little we createDubaiCAFC said:As much he frustrates as I feel he should and can do a lot more - does anyone have any stats on goals to chances? Kelman is a better finisher than Kone, but Kone is ahead at pretty much everything else you want from a striker. I still think Kone has the way higher ceiling of the 2 of them and is the better signing, but Kelman has still been a decent signing for usfenaddick said:6 goals in 1310 minutes for Kelman and 7 goals in 2805 for Kone. No denying he can finish, but other aspects of his game need to be developed for this level.6
-
Agreed but I think the attitude and hunger are there to improve . I still wouldn’t have signed that profile of striker for the way we play but I think we will see more of him next season after a good pre season .IR94 said:No denying he can finish, but other aspects of his game need to be developed for this level.2 -
We create so few chances, we need someone good at finishing to put them in the net. Need to get the right person in behind him now and I think he will get a lot of goals. You can see there's a player therewmcf123 said:

for you. 🫣0 -
Up close, he’s as slim as a sausage.1

Not a massive surprise but Kelman isn't in the USA squad which pretty much ends any chance of him making a WC squad. Maybe he might have a chance at a preliminary squad but not much more than that0
-
Just had a look at the goals per 90 stats in the Championship.
Intrestingly Knibbs is 13th with 0.53 goals per 90
Kelman is 25th with 0.41 goals per 90.
both actually pretty good returns.6 -
He never played for the senior squad even when he was scoring goals for Orient .. yet in under 20 scored 7 in 19 so don’t think it’s anything about his formfenaddick said:Not a massive surprise but Kelman isn't in the USA squad which pretty much ends any chance of him making a WC squad. Knibbs is a fantastic set piece chaos agent because he's massive but not an aerial target for us, that's been a big missPelling1993 said:Just had a look at the goals per 90 stats in the Championship.

The one thing that surprised me the most though was his stats in league one of being one of the top players for turnarounds and winning the ball something I didn't see much maybe because it's a higher level but he can always step up if given a proper run,it's a shame about the injury tbh.1 -
Yeah. Its hips and arse kind of weight - just seems a bit over heavy to me but these guys won't get on the pitch if they are not absolutely 100% so you are probably right. Enjoy your pie and chips with Charlie next week!Mendonca In Asdas said:Up close, he’s as slim as a sausage.0 -

Always thought that the best hold-up players have wider body frames / arses. So much harder to get to the ball.fenaddick said:

It's also why Ahadme immediately looked suspect because he's thin and spindly and has no width to block off a defender behind him. Couple that with awful balance and that's why he's spent the season playing second fiddle at Stevanage.
Here's hoping we implement 'The Big Arse Policy' in future.1 -
So you’re saying that to get the best for Ahadme we need to send him for a BBL?Chunes said:

Ill start the gofundme if so.2 -
This thread has gone a bit weird, talking about players arses!!!!, which is ironic because most of us on here are probably old, unfit and slightly rotund!! Good old CL hypocrisy for you😂1
-
The likes of Arthur Horsfield and Yann Kermogant had a certain physique that was handy when it came to shrugging off CBs and holding the ball up.2

Oi, some of us are young, unfit and slightly rotund thank you very muchSword65pf said:This thread has gone a bit weird, talking about players arses!!!!, which is ironic because most of us on here are probably old, unfit and slightly rotund!! Good old CL hypocrisy for you😂6
