Don't know what to think after that. My emotions are all over the place. Angry, annoyed, pissed off and feeling sorry for the lads - didn't deserve that scoreline at the end.

Will need to cool down before I post sensibly but all I will say is this.....we certainly need a LWB by next Saturday.

Oh......and the club is a shambles. Toilet block in the AC stand had a floor full of piss. Cant use 2 of the cubicles or the far end urinal unless you want to be able deep in the stuff.

Utterly shambolic on & off the pitch.

Might want to look at your fellow fans for that.
Do we not have stewards or stadium staff who can sort it out during the game ? This is 2025. ....not 1975.
You expect a steward to start doing plumbing in the middle of a game?

Is a “Big” match now defined by the amount of chancers selling scarves & merch outside the ground included the dreaded “ half & half scarves”? The stand opposite the club shop takes a special award with Superman Curbs, A suited and booted Nathan & Ginger Lives Matters flag ! COYA
Reminds me of Pulp's Different Class.

Enjoyed the game but sadly got pick pocketed in the East Stand concourse.

The lovely person responsible managed to spend £180 across 5 separate transactions at the stadium and a further £90 on their route home before the card was blocked.

Fortunately I have already got the money back from my bank, but I’d love to meet them to ask how they managed to get served on 5 separate occasions throughout the game! I had to queue for over 25 minutes just to use the toilets!
What sort of back to front does that to a fellow fan?

Not disappointed with the result, but with the score.
What’s annoying is the BBC Sport App headline ‘…as Chelsea thrash Charlton’. At 4-1 it wouldn’t have been seen as a thrashing.
Also find it annoying that MOTD had no mention of the pen not being a pen, and they even left the ‘even I can see that’s a penalty’ commentary in for the highlights.

Wasn't keen on that game at all. So many drugged up/pissed up adults that can't handle themselves.

Seeing pints get chucked, flares getting let off all while we are losing a game of football. The shit side of football these games. Few scuffles in and around the ground.

You can bet your arse the people throwing stuff won't be at Boro away on a weekday, and when we go Millwall away and there will be thousands of them lot wanting trouble, they won't go looking for it there. If you throw a pint/flare into a group of people, especially your own fan base, I can't describe how much of a c**t you are.

Roll on the League games, I'd probably swerve a cup game like that again, unless it's away.

"Go to football, but don't wear your nice coat, cause some f**kwit might throw a pint all over you when we let in a consolation goal"

    Vlog is up for it

To he honest though, it's a bit pants. Camera had a mare and I lost footage, also had the raging hump over the pint incident.

You'll see it but a whole pint chucked over the geezers just infront of me. Kids there as well so could have gone on them.

Take your kids to Charlton, watch us get dumped 5-1 and some coked up whopper chucks pints into their own home crowd. Great stuff.

Then the treat to piss soaked floors at half time cause grown men can't control their piss stream.

    Anyway, hope you enjoy.

They didn't piss on the floor. The urinal got block & overflowed. I could see that when I went in before the game around  9.40pm. Was 10x worse when I went back in again after the game had finished.
    Game kicked off 8pm.
I know you live on a different planet to most but thinking it was a 9.40pm KO is most peculiar  :)

There was a thread on here a while ago about being able to take a pint into the stand. Some said beer wouldn’t get thrown…

There were a couple of Poles next to us in the N Lower drinking whisky out of plastic cups. Seemed like nice guys but as they got more and more pissed became a bit of a pain. Chucked their drinks in the air when we scored.

Thought 5 1 flattered them a bit but they were in control and I felt they could have stepped up a gear or two if required.

Enjoyed the evening but one thing that stood out is that the infrastructure in the ground isn’t sufficient for full houses.

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned it on here but the North Lower concourse was a joke before the game and at half time. God know what would happen if there was an emergency, you couldn’t move.

Didn't go, too many opportunities for me to get the hump with other humans

It was great to see the ground full up, and a fuck load of people on my social media feed were there last night who I had no idea where Charlton fans but that was the deal when we were in the premier league so shouldn't really be surprised

Performance was what I expected, I thought we were a bit naive in how we didn't press and then hacking the ball out of defence when Bell showed a bit more intelligence of how to work the ball up yhe field. Absolutely gutted him getting injured and it looked like a bad one, I have a feeling he hasn't been fully fit for games since he came back v Norwich but was taking one for the team.

Miles is showing what he has in his locker and he is doing it without being horrible which is what I wanted from him or thought he needed to do so all credit to him.

Garnacho is an easy player to dislike, as good as he thinks he is, he would have been top of my list to kick or generally rough up if I got the opportunity. I was upset about the second goal, I hate conceding set piece goals like that and felt we got that wrong tonight. Apart from Miles Leaburn and Lloyd Jones i didn't think we attacked the ball enough or aggressively enough.

As everyone else said, the last two goals maybe flattered them but we rode our luck a bit with the amount we let them have the ball around our box. The penalty was as soft as they come and wasn't a foul in my eyes.

Hope Bells injury is not a bad one although I suspect it is , we really have to forget that game now and punch on

Trying to put things into perspective, not one championship side got a result against premier league side, just goes to show the gap in quality is getting wider. Think only QPR got within one goal, every other result was comfortable. Love seeing the valley full, don’t mind the fireworks etc. adds to the atmosphere.wouldnt want to be like Chelsea fans half heartedly celebrating a goal. Think it’s great when we score, we celebrate with real gusto and don’t want that to ever change.

    EXCEPT WREXHAM!!😂

Don't care about the score, absolutely devastated that Bell has pulled up again though. I honestly think he or an equivalent is the difference between survival and relegation. If we haven't already we need to sign a LCB with some pace, whatever it costs. Add a LWB to that and we'll be ok. Lots to like in terms of our endeavour. Mannion did quite well, though he sent plenty of shots back towards attackers as all keepers do because football is real life. I don't think he'll get the stick Kaminski would. Which is fine, it's just Kaminski shouldn't get it either. Gough I thought was pretty good until the end when he started getting spun like a top by fresh attackers. He's good enough as a third choice RCB but I am still praying for a quick return for Ramsay. I think we'll feel the loss of TC as well, I hope that's not a long one. We went into the window needing a LWB, a centre mid and competition for TC, add a quick LCB to that urgently
I thought there was a stark contrast between Mannion's excellent saves where he directed the ball away for corners or out wide for the most part & Kaminski who parries most of his saves straight back centrally.

One game is not proof of anything, but on last night's performance Mannion easily deserves a run in the team.

His saves (as above) were better, his catching was better, he commanded the area better and he gave me no concerns (unlike Kaminski).
    This.
  • I should probably get out more but what was the reason for the fans directing so much stick at Garnacho?

Appreciate that, isn't the first time, sure it won't be the last.

People get annoyed for me digging out our fans, but this is now 4 incidents with fans, 2 very near turning into fights. It's ok cause I can look after myself, but I don't go to football for that s**t and I full well know the same twats would go hiding at Millwall away, Brum away etc when actual trouble comes looking.

Had to stop a fight at Stoke away this season and almost saw a fight at Fratton Park but people got involved.

It amazes me cause there are opposition fans more than willing to have a scrap, but they'll have no interest there.

No reason I think, other than he’s pretty unlikeable and  he was one of the two ‘names’ on their team sheet most of us would have heard of. Got booed once and then it just continued with others joining in

Exhibit B of another 'Charlton fan' purposely throwing a beer away from himself at other fans.

57th minute goal, so he's potentially queued for 15 mins to get a 6 quid pint, wait in the stands for 12 mins with an almost full pint, just to throw it, what a cool fkn bloke, f**k me.

Nearly one in the AC just before full time. People streaming out on 90 mins & there was an altercation between a fella behind me & someone exiting up the stairs. Lots of effing & jeffing over whether you can call yourself a true fan if you leave before the final whistle.

Whatever the timings Golfie, you shouldn't have to put up with walking through piss and whatever to use the toilet and this needs to be taken to the club to enable them to address the situation. I have some contact details that I found on LinkedIn, I will be contacting them to see if they are firstly, aware, and as one poster stated, he contacted the club with no response, and if they are aware how far are they down the process of resolving the issue. Do me a favour please, where was it ? What stand ? I would have to trawl back over the posts to find the details and as much as I love your posts, and I do, I have an email to contruct. Ta mate

I’ve missed some context on this thread but I’m assuming we’re taking about the East Stand Block A toilets?

I have some sympathy for the club here. I doubt they knew that the toilets would block, and less so, that some absolute filth would wade through piss to approach an overflowing urinal and continue to urinate in it making the problem much worse. Some of them were actually laughing whilst watching their bodily fluids pour over the top onto the floor.

We’re not talking 1 or 2 here either. There must have been 20-30 people that did this in the time I was queuing for a urinal that wasn’t blocked.
