  • Going to be chaos on here when he ends up at Derby or Burnley.

We’d pulled an absolute coup getting it to where it was. Not signing him now we will regret massively

Heard we're going back in for Tyreese Shade again to challenge Portsmouth for his signature following the collapse of the Jesurun Rak-Sakyi deal

JRS agent issues or not Charlton's priority now is 2 centre halves fit and ready to go until at least January.

I still don't agree with this position, Edwards for example is due back soon (training on grass if I recall????) and although we saw him in limited appearances in the championship he didn't look out of place and has played both fullback/CB before. We also don't know the extent of said injuries, if its a grade 2 hamstring as said before for Billy, that's 2 months max? if we go the CB route again we're resigning ourself to another half season at least of 1 dimensional attritional football. We've looked good in attack so far and spent the entire of pre season preparing for a more fluid style why would we sacrifice that
Yes but he has been out a long time and may need a while to get back up to speed.

It could be a nightmare negotiating with other clubs for a different right winger now that they all know we had £4m available to spend on JRS
Alternatively it shows other clubs we will pull the plug if we are being messed around

Just thinking we would have paid the same for Shade + Alli as JRS makes me physically feel ill

    Surely this is brinkmanship.

We want JRS, JRS wants to sign but there are complications with the agent, not the player.

Doesn’t strike me as insurmountable in the way a medical issue may have been.

Hang on, we're signing Tim Ream?
  • Absolutely no interest in Shade played for a shit burton team and never played in the champ.

Would be an absolute waste of time and money a cheap alternative to our first choice

Ogbene on he's way to Stoke on loan. According to Reams. I'm joking Darren Witcoop is the source of that information.

Swansea fans saying JRS's agent did the exact same thing with them.

Shade is more of a striker than a winger anyway. Can’t see us going for him as a RW option

Back to house analogies...sounds a bit like the experience, documented on here, with a certain Mr Patel...

On Swansea, they’ve just signed Eustaqio from Porto. Am I going mad or did we look at him in the last couple of years?

This potentially ties in with the agent being the issue.

My Burnley Mate now reckons that JRS is heading up there this afternoon, as bid has been accepted by Palace.

So StJohn saying it was a failed medical was a guess then?

No, not at all. I wouldn’t share guesswork. They’ve been spot on all summer and are within the club, so I’ve no reason to doubt them. If they’re wrong, fair enough, I’ll apologise.

No, not at all. I wouldn’t share guesswork. They’ve been spot on all summer and are within the club, so I’ve no reason to doubt them, but people do get things wrong. If they’re wrong, fair enough, I apologise.

Interesting to see if JRS does a Kamara and sacks his agent, who I believe is a family member, to get the deal done. If he does and we still don’t sign him, the agent clearly wasn’t the only issue.

Hopefully this still has the ending we all want 🙏

    Dykes contract?

Not buying it that the agent caused the deal to collapse. If JRS really wanted to sign, there’s nothing his agent could do about it. There’s something else at play is my guess.

You are missing the ultimate decision maker - the Stripey c*nts hold his registration as he is still contractually their player.

He wouldn’t necessarily be first choice there, they have Edwards who from what I can see they paid a big fee for.
