Reckon we could still end up seeing JRS 10.30 on Tuesday evening...🤷♂️4

Well sorry to be a Neanderthal but JRS needs to punch his agent in the face, rip his head off and shit down his neck!!!14

I really don't get these comments, most of us want to hear his stuffBedsaddick said:

I mean surely if you want to move to a club and it falls apart because your agent wants more money* then you just tell your agent to fuck off.
*i am assuming this is the case11 -
OK, wild uninformed speculation here but could the club be trying to pressurise JRS and/or his agent by letting this news get out?45
-
The club won't announce anything to do with JRS if it doesn't happen? How would that work?Pudds said:Cawley confirming its the agent.
This is very much still a Schrodinger's cat for me.
If they think the agent might bend if they call his bluff, they have to announce the deal is off.
If they don't, then the deal is off and may as well say it.
There is a bit of me that still holds out some hope.
With TC, they can influence Jes to sort out his agent situation. If he is as keen as we think he is for a deal to join us, he may already be minded that way.
It's not over till the bloke in the yellow tie sings and all that.
"We tried to sign someone but we didn't?" No club ever does that

I don't think the deal is completely dead going by Cawley's post... I just think it depends if we find someone else, and whether the dipshit of an Agent realises he's been a twat and is potentially harming his Client's career before that happens.Reckon we're in for an interesting few daysWe're pushing for a resolution from the Agent's team... Otherwise I dont think we'd put it out there8

To me, that reads like JRS has at least two pimps agents claiming that they represent him and that has led to the dispute.Chunes said:"This website has been told that a key stumbling block surrounding Rak-Sakyi was in relation to his agent representation. That is believed to be an ongoing dispute." What does it mean?16 -
If Jes was dead set on joining us and his agent has mucked it up, he can't be happy.

Hopefully the agent comes crawling back when JRS has no club lined up and is set to sit in the reserves for half a season.3

Feels like shenanigans, what with calling out the agent. Let's see...1

Well, I'M not feckin happy !Chunes said:If Jes was dead set on joining us and his agent has mucked it up, he can't be happy.0 -
Then it’s up to JRS himself to sort his agent out, he’s the client after all.felix_31 said:Cawley now confirming we have pulled the plug on JRS. Complications with agent. Boo.7 -
I know people post in good faith on here and other forums myself included. We can’t always get it right as things change and evolve. But all the people on here and other forums, saying it was done and he failed the medical hang your heads in shame. The medical seems to be guesswork.

I thought I made it quite clear tbh1
-
I wonder if this agent represents a current or ex Charlton player and there’s an ongoing dispute that’s been unresolved?2

Everyone is assuming wrong. The problem with his agent is actually that he’s an inter galactic being from the future, asking that his client be paid in raw honey, rather than cash which will soon have no intrinsic value.Chunes said:"This website has been told that a key stumbling block surrounding Rak-Sakyi was in relation to his agent representation. Charlton have been unable to source enough beehives to complete the deal.4 -
I get we're all frustrated due to JRS situation but don't need to dig out those who share the information they get, same people would be moaning nothing's going on or we get no information!13
-
I think it's gonna be a wild ride between now and Tuesday night.
All we can do is see where we end up come 11pm. We know we have money to spend now. Unfortunately so does the rest of the league - BUT that will also mean all sorts of players will be dangled in front of us.
Lets see what happens and see who comes in. I'm not ruling anything in or out at this stage. Think there are loads of twists and turns to come.

I don’t know how genuine this is but it says JRS , as of June , had no agency
representation. Perhaps it’s his family who represents him ?AI says the same .
2 -
If nothing else this may end up proving how much Jes wants to play for Charlton.3
-
Yep. It’s all part of the game agents, clubs and players play I’m afraid.eastterrace6168 said:Reckon we could still end up seeing JRS 10.30 on Tuesday evening...🤷♂️2 -
FIFA are trying to change the rules but clubs all over Europe have opposed their proposed rules so it's all in chaos and dispute. Has been for a few years.Redrobo said:As I said earlier, players not clubs should pay agents.
I've met numerous agents and not liked a single one of them. I qualified as one a couple of years ago but I'm just not a wanker about it and prefer players to be comfortable and settled as that's when you'll get the best out of them. Sadly the vast majority of players I spoke to and dealt with are completely unrealistic about the real world and just leave it to their agent. Also sadly the vast majority of clubs also take the piss with their demands. So players rarely get the best deal FOR THEM its usually the best for the agent or the club.
I'd say the JRS deal might not be dead completely and we are just saying "It's all agreed with the exception of the agent presumably moving the goalposts" our pulling out is probably an ultimatum to show we won't be taken for a ride.
Not sure who Jes' agent is now as it changed since his last contract - Not insurmountable and Jon Fortune's Two Touch agency might swoop in and save the day as the club seem to like working with him and he has his foot firmly inside the door at the club6 -

Will we get the usual Jones Thursday press conference today given there was a game yesterday?0

The amount of power players have over 100+ year old football clubs, im sure a jumped up little prick of an agent shouldnt be too much trouble.4
