Jut when we started to look like we were coming "back" something goes pear shaped. Why is it so hard being a Charlton fan

If only Cawley would release an article letting us know what is going on.5

So it was the agent1

Definitely wouldn’t judge him off last night but won’t displace Leaburn anytime soonDamoNorthStand said:FishCostaFortune said:
Don’t want to post direct to Cawley’s substack - but he had a whole article based around us not being in for a striker this year recently.stjohnshill said:
Because sometimes you have to protect confidentially. I will always say when and what I can.NorthStandMillz said:
I never understand the “Can’t say names” part … what’s the point in saying anything at all then?stjohnshill said:
Yes there are a couple we want. Both at Premier League clubs and both played in the Championship last season. One more likely than another at this stage. Cannot give any names at this stageDDOUBLEE said:
I'd feel even more comfortable if we were working to sign an alternative though!fenaddick said:A failed medical makes me feel more comfortable about us pulling outAlso considering a striker too. From nearly being done, the window just got a lot busier…
From an admitedly small sample - I am not convinced Mbick is as ready as we maybe originally thought. Whether that is simply down to fitness or otherwise.2 -
Need JRS to do a Kamara and get new agent.fenaddick said:So it was the agent9 -

If JRS really wants to be here then, he'd bin off his agent.25

Agents are a fucking scourge on footb16

Agent nonsense according to Rich! We move on0

Agents are the scourge of football. Fucking Blood sucking leeches .4

This situation is kind of make or break for JRS (and his agent). Their hand may be eventually forced here.10

I think Curbs’ adage is coming true again. We’ve signed good players this summer , almost all with fitness issues and when you throw in a walking injury like Burke , it’s no surprise we are where we are . Not long to plug the gaps - a centre back, maybe two and a midfielder . Hopefully the plan B wide player0

Round up all the 'ITK' who said he failed a medical and fire them into the sun imo29

Sigh0

Fuck em, we move on.0

In every transfer, three parties need to agree to the move.
In this instance, it sounds like four parties had to agree.1 -

So StJohn saying it was a failed medical was a guess then?4
-
So ultimately the transfer is still in play and this has been put out to push his agent to reduce his fee?Expect neither JRS nor Palarse are very happy with the situation and you’d assume JRS holds all the cards here4
-
Didn't want JRS anyway bloody Palarse loser...🙄5
-
I wonder if NJs comments last night was trying to deliver an ultimatum to JRS agent?6

JRS needs to learn from Abu!8

Convenient excuse eh ?LTKapal said:JRS has never been injury prone before, right? I know there is more to medicals than that but, it does surprise me.0 -
When is Transfer Deadline Day?0

Charlton Athletic’s move for Jes Rak-Sakyi is off.
The Crystal Palace winger had been at the Addicks’ Sparrows Lane training ground earlier this week with a deal close for the 23-year-old winger.
But South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition understands that the transfer will not take place due to complications.
This website has been told that a key stumbling block surrounding Rak-Sakyi was in relation to his agent representation. That is believed to be an ongoing dispute.
Charlton were set to pay around £4million for Rak-Sakyi - which is close to their record transfer fee. And that expenditure does not include the financial terms for the player, who would have become one of their top earners.
It’s understood that the move was already dead before last night’s EFL Cup tie at Tottenham.

Makes me wonder if it was even 'On' in the first place.
still not convinced we will see the 'similar to last summer' levels of spend we have been promised.
