Assuming Koumetio will be through the door today , would be nice to go to Slovenia with at least one RWB in the door although I guess it's not the end of the world to go with Ramsay and Apter there as options.
Asiimwe is still here too. Think for early pre-season him and Apter there is fine as it gives us practice with attacking RWBs before we hopefully bring in a couple of better ones

Also was mentioned we might have Osei-Tutu on trial so he could play too
Yeah Asiimwe I could see playing Friday at least for a half.

If Osei-Tutu is in on trial too then it's actually a bit better than I had in my head.
Osei-tutu is not going to be on trial, he was one of the top performers in league one last year and will be in high demand. You don’t take players like that on trial.

Thats for free agents who need to prove themselves to get a deal

There was a rumour on here that we had Redmond and Osei-Tutu on trial. Redmond has been spotted in pictures to that to me makes it likely the rumour was correct

He was released by Bolton so he can’t have been that good. He’d easily get a league 1 club but if he wants a championship move then he won’t have much interest so a trial isn’t that odd

Wasn't there some speculation that he just didn't want to sign a new deal, rather than being released? Bolton wouldn't have been able to say "We're in discussions" if he'd outright said he wasn't going to sign

Yeah its very easy to get caught up in the trap that someone Out of Contract in the summer was simply released by their club, and so why should we want them - But works both ways too (Blackett-Taylor / Tranmere is a great example)... Did Osei-Tutu want to stay at Bolton in the first place

    Bolton chose to release him.

I was at their play-off final, as my best mate is a Bolton fan.

Their supporters didn’t rate him particularly highly, so not surprised to see that he’s moved on.

If they didn't rate him that highly then lord knows what they thought of Apter!

Didn’t realise that Bolton let their fans decide on contracts.

    Maybe we should try that

I can see some issues with that 🤣

I'm very happy with my new 5 year deal, the number 8 shirt and the captain's armband. A shame I had to upset Doc in the process but he'll live

The language used in the statement “as the Whites begin preparations for life at a higher level” makes it look to me like they have chosen not to sign him

I think from an optics POV, Bolton would want to make it look like they’ve tried to keep him if he is really that good. They’d have just put they are in discussions or that they’d had discussions

I think it’s possible they view him as not good enough defensively to play in a back 4 for them in the championship, but he was fine in league 1. And then we think he could be quite a good fit for an attacking wing back in our system so are having a look at him

Surprised we've got him out on loan this quickly, thought he'd be one that would take a while.

Cambridge no doubt made contact once their promotion was confirmed.

And even if Koumetio does sign, that only leaked from the Dundee side. Cawley showing he's trusted as well, getting ahead of the "incoming expected" without giving anything away.

My old FM transfer method as I went from non-league to Premier League - big sell on %, lower fee, by the time you sell the player you’re swimming in Prem money and it’s irrelevant.

And right after I post that Cawley’s confirmed it’s happening, maybe even today.
