Six contracted centre backs for three places seems sensible to me? It’s been back to back seasons now that Lloyd has played a significant period through the pain barrier so we need suitable options there - if he had to take any length of time out last season we would have been in big trouble.

Sichenje, Ramsay, Jones, Koumetio, Bell, Mesik is a hopefully strong group.
And Burke when fit. Will be interesting to see what happens with Zach Mitchell now.

Can we just appreciate in the space of 24hours we may have gone from Gillesphey LCB and TC LWB to Koumetio LCB and Mesik LWB
Absolutely but in reality we don’t have a clue about either.

So, once or twice a season if we're really lucky then....?

+ Burke, not sure he’d be easy to offload.

Might get 10-15 games from Burke if we're really lucky :)

You really can’t count on Burke to be available at any given time. I think it’s sensible to treat him being available as a bonus rather than plan a squad around him. In hindsight possibly shouldn’t have been signed in the first place.

I don’t see a change of our main formation and I don’t see this being a sign that LJ is leaving.

It means we’ll have Edwards and Mesik competing to play LWB, and Bell and Koumetio competing at LCB.

We’ll have the depth on the left of our back five that we needed last season.

With Jones, Burke, Ramsay and Sichenje covering the right and middle, that leaves two spots to fill at RWB across the back five.

As much as we need a couple of CMs and a couple of strikers (Dykes potentially being one of them), strengthening that left side of our defence was also a priority.

Defence is where you need plenty of cover we have had horrendous injury luck in defence and it’s killed us .. you can never have to many

A really poor signing imo, particularly for the money he’s on.  Aneke just about tipped me over the edge when it came to having perpetually injured players.  I have no capacity for any of them anymore and hope we steer well clear of players with a a history of injuries that aren’t under 22/23

Two moves in two days with no rumours from our end, impressive from the club
It's almost like most of us know f-all
I know The Fall and actually quite like them.

Lets be serious and just assume it's 6 contracted centre backs.

Personally think the new kit should be announced with the first signing of the season.

What happened to the simple holding of the shirt with name on it.
  • Another signing after Jones walked out a meeting! Starting to think that bombshell rumour may of been false.

Welcome Billy, hopefully his injuries are a thing of the past!!

Yes, why are the board letting a manager like that spend the money they're not putting into the men's team anyway?

I think the defence should be sorted now. Would like to see us move on to the midfield as that’s where we really need to improve. Do we think those deals will be later in the window?
