All the best to Conor Coady for a speedy recovery.
    His 500th game apparently.
    Mannion was immense.
the most saves Manion has ever made in a game before.

    Two brilliant Goals today:

Matty's turn and strike was top class just 60 seconds after coming on and why no one was touch tight on him was a bonus.

Irankunda goal after a sublime pass from Louza was one of the best goals scored against CAFC this season. Mannion was having the game of his life and it took something very special to beat him today.

I first saw Irankunda play for Adelaide united 3 years ago just before his move to Bayern Munich and he will surely get picked up by a top club in the summer.

Considering the shots on target by Watford that was a point won because it felt like they had more chances today than when we got a 5-0 spanking 11 years ago.

We are limping to the 50 point mark and some player's like Carey are looking like they need a rest but we should be grateful for Sonny's 8 goals as we have missed Godden's potential 10 goals if he had played 35 odd games this season.

    49 points and counting.

Get well soon Conor Coady as your experience has been invaluable on match days.

Good point in the end, Matty Godden looks sharp and is a handful for defenders still, wouldn’t want to see him go anywhere next season, wishing Coady the best, that is seriously putting your body on the line the shot was a bullet. Will mannion had a really good game today would have been easy to let Fridays mistake knock his confidence. Another point to the tally, the away end was really fun and loud also today.

Well earned (and needed!) point. Irankunda is a monster, just looked outstanding and when he went down initially, I was dead chuffed he might have to go off!

Mannion was fantastic as already mentioned, really needed that after the Bristol game. TC started well but went to pot after that dodgy pass when they countered right after, definitely a confidence player!

Godden goal was a beauty. Great technique.

Overall, one point closer. Preston aren't doing great atm so they are there for the taking!

Good point from an improved performance though of course it was backs to the wall as usual! Fully expect us to get a point v Preston and that will make us effectively safe  .
We of course won't beat Wednesday but it won't matter by then...

I would like to see Fullar play in the position he does for the U21’s, attacking midfield.
I think Carey has not been at his best for a couple of games.
I'd like to see Fullah in the 18.

Dropping him for Berry today was unfathomable to everyone except NJ.
I’d just like to see his name spelt right 😅

Just got home from the game.
A BIG shout out to the crowd. They were immense.
I just wish I had their enthusiasm.
Makes me realise what a miserable old sod I've become.

Also have to say, Irankunda and louza in particular are another level and not even in a team challenging for promotion, which emphasises how well we’ve actually done this season when the dust settles, because most teams have these type of standout players. Not sure how we close the gap, but we need one hell of a pre season transfer window. Hopefully we have the ambition and strategy to a get couple of players with the quality most other teams have.

A good point on the road. Hopefully Coady is okay, I wouldn't be against us signing him on a permanent as a squad player; we look a better, more composed team with him in it.

Yikes 31 shots. Great point though, and great to see Godden scoring.

Did you look at the appalling stats for passing accuracy and for successful tackles, we must be one of the worst sides for those stats in the division.
We cannot keep playing like this and expect to pick up points let alone a win.
You say that every week, usually after we've just picked up points

A good point that we probably didn’t deserve but who cares. Thought TC had a good first half, faded badly second. Doc and Coady did ok, Carey much less so, has really gone off the boil. Back five pretty solid but thought Bell had one of his poorer games. Mannion was outstanding, so glad he was able to put Friday’s howler behind him. Dykes worked hard without much service. Godden showed what we’ve been missing, I’d give him another year for sure. JRC had a couple of opportunities to do much better and maybe put the game to bed. Decent cameo from Fev.

A good point, hope Coady is ok. Very good response from the Watford fans as he was taken off, it took that to wake them up. Our fans were loud all game and magnificent.

Great result as I would’ve taken a point before the game after 2 defeats on the bounce, plus our cushion going into the game.  Was very worried we were going to get sucked back into it and go on some sort of cataclysmic run (highly unlikely, but football has a wicked way and plenty of teams come unstuck toward the end of a season).

The biggest result today wasn’t ours however.  We got the rub of the green with 4 of the 6 teams below us playing one another, drawing, and Leicester unable to get the win at Sheff Wed.  Very fortunate.

I think 2 more points will be enough, probably even 1.  It would be nice to emphatically put it to bed at home on Saturday.  We’ve been poor at home for a while now.  Playing very slow, uninspiring football.  I expect more huff and puff against Preston, but it would be great to see us have a go.  I believe we can still put up a solid display defensively and take a point if need be, and have a bit more of a go.

Almost there.  Been hard going when we lose, and not great to watch when we grind out wins, but the away performances today and the likes of Boro, Soton, Ipswich and Sheff Utd, that’s when we’re at our best and have been the most enjoyable results.  Got to add to that approach next season, otherwise we’re very much going to be in Oxford and Pompey’s position

Quality player, can't understand why he's been on the bench.

He must have been out cold for quite a while - isn’t it roughly one day recovery for each minute unconscious?

You make several comments that echo my feelings after today's game, Large.

I'm very unimpressed with Carey's performances of late & surprised that he is continuing to start. Maybe a game or two coming on from the bench might revitalise him ?

Lloydy back to his best, thank goodness, but thought Dykes had his least effective game for some time & would have subbed him sooner. Ditto for Chambers but like the cameos you mentioned from Fev. Also a fan of Joe RC & feel he deserves more minutes to show what he can add to the performance.

However, I would argue that Doc "did OK " fails to take account of the work rate & undeniable bravery he demonstrates every time he steps onto the pitch. IMO, we are a lesser team without him & the contributions he makes. Love him to bits !

Finally, as the majority of posts state, Mannion was incredible this afternoon. Unbelievable saves time & time again. Surely he deserves the gloves for the remainder of the season.

Oh, have just noted that Coady has been discharged & given the thumbs up ...phew !
