The Spitfires team for 2014 is taking shape, following last week’s announcements of Darren Stevens’ availability for the whole season and the signing of Australian fast bowler Doug Bollinger. We thought it was a good moment to have our Super 8 reasons to come to the matches this year! All are floodlit fixtures, at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, with seven on Friday nights.

Team to play Worcestershire in the County Championship starting Sunday:
1. Rob Key (c) 2. Sam Northeast 3. Daniel Bell-Drummond 4. Brendan Nash 5. Ben Harmison 6. Darren Stevens 7. Sam Billings (w) 8. James Tredwell 9. Mitch Claydon 10. Doug Bollinger 11. Robbie Joseph 12. Charlie Hartley
Sam Billings gets the gloves. No great surprise as Billings wasn't going to wait much longer and Geraint Jones, judging by his pre-season interview and the fact he is building his coaching academy within Kent, knew that was going to be the case.
A fully firing Robbie Joseph plus Doug Bollinger and Mitch Claydon could make up an interesting seam bowling attack. The worry has to be whether we will get enough runs on the board and with Tredders at 8 I can't see the tail wagging too often.
Day 1Current time 10:43 local, 09:43 GMT | Match begins in: 0:17

As I've intimated above, our seam attack will be as good as any in this division. Our batting, however, has many questions to answer.
