Nice to see you lot doing us a favour at Hove!

In all fairness though, as stupid as it sounds that is eminently chaseable at Hove, normally a belting pitch, very trim boundaries and Prior in sparkling nick, Goodwin and Smith are class and Arafat can give it a whack.

Cricket is the saviour, hopefully Kent can defend a useful total to back up the earlier win against Australia.

    The Oval.
    Friday 9th July.
    Kent v Essex.

    KENT v Essex ? The Oval ?

We didn't even get 3,000 yesterday at Canterbury.

    WTF ?

    :-(

Lost by an innings in the cricketing equivalent of a 6 pointer.

Relegation will be hard to avoid I reckon. We've picked up some crucial injuries and Tredwell and Stevens are off with England.

Think you'll find there will be more than 3,000 at the Oval. Friday night drink up for a lot of the City boys.

    On a Friday @ Beckenham we'd get 6,500:
And keep every penny on the gate, beer, food, etc.
How much we paying Slurrey to use their ground ?

how much do they charge at beckenham?
    it's £20 for tomorrow.

Went yesterday, as a Kent fan it was a painful match, however i found the actual game itself enjoyable. First time i had ever been to the Oval and loved the stadium. Where would we be without Stevens right now, need Ntni back.

They must have had some rain down there.

It was 105-4 at lunch or thereabouts.
  • Kent stalwart and Charlton fan Matt Walker 74* tonight off 49 balls, 4 x4, 4 x6 smashes Essex into finals day... bit of Kent cheer for a charlton boy?

Went acouple of Years ago (when We lost to M'Sex in the Final).
Had 5 minutes from the end of the game to get the shuttlebus back to the station for the last train to London.
Not great when you've been on the Beer all day in the Sun-shine.....

Each county in the Finals day get 2,500 tickets.....
  • Just for the record carly burn on my members email this morning face value is £50 and £55 for the 2 categories of tickets to give you a marker
  • Essex need another 229, with 9 wickets remaining, on Day 4 at Canterbury.
  • Lost two early wickets, but the "right" ones if you know what I mean. Just over 200 required, 7 in hand, should be a belting last day as long as Bopara can manage to play somewhere near 100% with his injury. All the best!
